The faults and errors listed below are indicated by symbols on the screen or by indicator lights. The respective error codes are not shown in the EC field of the operator menu. The only way to read them is the list-S-Exxx menu.

This symbol, together with a buzzer warning sound, indicates that the quick-change adapter is not properly locked.

Malfunctions

Engine diagnostic system

If the symbol is displayed, immediately halt operation, unless you wish to release the adapter. If the symbol is not displayed while the quick-change adapter is being released, also immediately stop the procedure.

The alarm signals can be triggered if a locking pin has inadvertently become dislodged, or by mechanical or hydraulic damage. The alarm signals might also be caused by defects in the electrical system (e.g. at the proximity switch or buzzer).

Only resume operation after the defective part has been repaired or replaced.

4.2Engine diagnostic system

4.2.1Engine monitoring

The engine monitoring system monitors the diesel engine and records malfunctions and unfavourable operating conditions. The results are displayed on the control console in the form of error codes.

The indicator lights inform the operator of malfunctions and also allow him/her to call up the logged error codes.

After the ignition has been switched on, the indicator lights perform an auto-test. All indicator lights are briefly switched on and off again, provided there is no pending malfunction.

4.2.2Eliminating fault

In the event of a fault, shut down the diesel engine. Contact the relevant customer service department of LIEBHERR or of the engine manufacturer (Cummins).

4.2.3Viewing error codes

The customer service department has detailed error code lists that allow for the accurate system diagnosis of the diesel engine.

Logged error codes are indicated in the form of flashing sequences of the indicator lights when the PROTECTION switch is pressed. To proceed to the next error code, actuate the DIAGNOSTIC rotary switch.

Switch off the ignition and switch it on again. Press the PROTECTION switch.

If no error codes are logged, all indicator lights flash once.

If there are error codes, the WARNING indicator light flashes once, and the STOP indicator switch subsequently flashes repeatedly, indicating the individual digits of the error code. After each digit sequence, the WARNING indicator light flashes once.
