0 Oscillating axle unlockedTravel operation without load, onroad travel

1 Oscillating axle lockedWorking and moving machine with attached load

A Automatic oscillating axle locking; the oscillating axle is automatically locked when the working brake is applied.

Preconditions: S35 is switched on.

Working, travel operation without load

Danger!

When the automatic oscillating axle locking function (switch S75 in position A) is on and the working brake is released, or the servo control S35 is switched off, the oscillating axle is released. This results in a reduced stability of the machine. When a load is taken up and the uppercarriage is swivelled, the machine might topple over, resulting in injury and damage to equipment.

To move the machine with load (e.g. filled digging took, suspended load), proceed as follows: Before taking up the load, permanently lock the oscillating axle (set switch S75 to position 1).

Never switch off the servo control system S35 when the automatic oscillating axle locking mechanism is activated (switch S75 in position A).

Locking oscillating axle:

Turn the switch S75 to position 1

The oscillating axle locking system indicator light is on. The oscillating axle is permanently locked. The machine's stability is enhanced.

Releasing oscillating axle:

Turn the switch S75 to position 0

The oscillating axle is permanently unlocked. The machine's stability is reduced.

Switching on the automatic oscillating axle locking mechanism:

The servo control system S35 must be switched on and remain activated during the operation of the automatic oscillating axle locking mechanism.

Turn the switch S75 to position A

When the working brake is applied, the oscillating axle is automatically locked in its current position, and the indicator light for oscillating axle automatic is on.

When the working brake is released, the oscillating axle is also released, and the indicator light is off.

Note!

To make best use of the oscillating axle, set it according to the actual task: Lock the oscillating axle when working with the machine. Lock the oscillating axle before travelling with an attached load. Release the oscillating axle before travelling without load and before on-road travel.

3.3.9Support

Fig. 3-67 Machine support options

The machine can be equipped with different support devices:

– 1 Blade support

2 Outrigger support

– 3 Combined blade and outrigger support

The outrigger support system can be equipped with an individual outrigger control system (optional equipment).

3.3.9.1Operation of outrigger support (optional equipment)

Fig. 3-68 Operating blade support

The blade support is operated by means of the control lever 5

To lower (extend) the support, move the control lever forward a To retract the support, move the control lever back b.

Note!

To achieve maximum stability:

Lift the machine with the outrigger support system only slightly and only as far as is required to reduce the weight on the rubber tyres.

Ensure that the rubber tyres remain in contact with the ground when the machine is supported.

Do not extend the support system to the stop. Improved stability when placing outrigger supports on the ground. Better grip on uneven ground.

3.3.9.2Individual outrigger control (optional equipment)

Fig. 3-69 Individual outrigger control

Each outrigger can be operated individually, or together with the other outriggers. The operator can select the respective individual control systems by means of switches S 204 - S205.

S204= rear left outrigger

– S205= rear right outrigger

Press the respective switch S204 - S205 The indicator light in the switch is on.

To lower (extend) the outriggers, move the control lever forward a To retract the outriggers, move the control lever back b

3.3.9.3Operating blade support (optional equipment)

If the machine is equipped with blade support, in addition to the outrigger support system, it must be activated with the switch S335

Press the switch S335 down. The blade support system is activated. The indicator light in the switch is on.

To lower (extend) the blade, move the control lever forward a

To retract the blade, move the control lever back b
