Control and operation
Warning!
During lifting, loading on the trailer and transport of the counterweight shell take ock, push or support the weight of other components.
Danger!
All work on the electrical system of the machine must be carried out by a trained electrician or specialist technician under the supervision of an electrician and in accordance with the electro-technical regulations.
In case of an electrical machine and if required, remove the slip ring. If required, remove the catwalks.
Lifting gear
Front lifting gear
Position the front lifting gear 1 on both sides to the bearing bores of the boom cylinders.
Attach the front lifting gear 1 with the boom cylinder pins. Attach and secure shackles 2
Rear lifting gear
Position the rear lifting gear 3 at the rear of the uppercarriage.
Attach the rear lifting gear 3 with the nut-screw drive 4 (M36 - 10.9, tightening torque 2900 N.m). The screws have to be mounted only one time
Lifting the machine
Connect the shackles of the lifting gear with the lashing points of the lifting crane. On machine fitted with removable side frames: travel motors at the travel motors.
Note
After 10 dismountings, replace the mounting bolts of the side frames by new ones.
Carefully lift the machine with the crane to pretension the slings. Lift the machine.
3.10.3Secure the machine
The machine might be secured with or without the elastic bearing. (see "Installing and removing elastic bearing")

Danger!
Slipping or falling of the machine! Death, injuries, damage.
Tie down machine and any attached components securely before transport. Use tear-resistant, non-slip straps with friction coefficient above 0.6 in accordance with standard EN 12195-1.
Make sure the following preconditions are met:
Lashing chains ensure a lashing capacity of 10000 daN in accordance with standard EN 12195-3.
Slings ensure a WLL of 3 t in accordance with standard NF EN 1492.
Tie-down angles are adhered to. (see Tab. 3-5)
Place non-slip straps on the low-loader platform.
Place wood blocks on the non-slip straps.
Place non-slip straps on the wood blocks.
Place the machine with or without the elastic bearing on the non-slip stripes.
If necessary, screw schackles at the rear of the uppercarriage.
Avoid contact between metal parts: attach the slings 2 to the lashing points on the machine. They are given on the undercarriage by the opposite sign.
Attach the lashing chains 1 to the slings 2
Place the lashing chains 1 crosswise.
Attach the lashing chains 1 to he lashing points on the low-loader platform.
