Running-in services
Running-in service is to be carried out after operating the dump truck the first 8, 100, 250 and 500 hours. These services are most important for running in a new dump truck. This is the owner’s responsibility.
2.1 First 8 hours:
1.Wheel nuts. Check tightening of nuts. •Torque setting: 450 Nm.Spanner: 30 mm (from serial no. 410001 and up to 410136) Spanner: 32 mm (from serial no. 410137 and up) 2.Lubricating. Grease all lubricating points. 3.Battery: Checking electrolyte level in the batteries, see 40 hours/weekly service, item 1.1. Checking battery charge, see 1000 hours service, item 2.3. 4.V-belt: Checking poly-V belts condition, see 1000 hours service, item 2.4. 5.Carry on with the normal 8 hours service, listed in chapter 7, maintenance.
Since these points are important for the dump truck to work satisfactorily right from the start they are also listed below.

1.Check brake lining thickness. See 500 hours service, item 4.1.
How often the brake linings have to be checked/replaced depends on how much the brakes are used and/or application.
After checking the brake linings for the first 250 hours, consider whether or not the brake linings should be checked more often, based on lining wear.
2.4 First 500 hours:
1.Change oil in: •Front differential. 30* See 1000 hours service, item 5.1. •Rear differential. 31* See 1000 hours service, item 6.1. •Tandem housings. 32* See 2000 hours service, item 5.1. •Reduct. gears, front. 33* See 1000 hours service, item 7.1. 2.Check/adjust: •Valve clearance. Procedure described in 2000 hours service, item 1.2. •Hydraulic oil pressure. Contact your local Moxy dealer. 3.Lubricating.
