40 Hours / Weekly service

10 - 15 mm To be performed every 40 hours of operation or weekly.

1.Engine

1.1. Check batteries 11*

•Checking of batteries shall also be carried out after the first 8 hours of operation. 1.Open right hand side fender cover (key for opening the cover is to be found in the cab, near the fire extinguisher) 2.Undo the plugs and check electrolyte level in all cells. 3.The fluid level in each cell shall be between 10-15 mm above the plates. 4.Refill with distilled water if level is lower.

NOTE

Only distilled or chemically cleaned water must be used.

1.2.Check battery terminals for tightness and corrosion

Clean if necessary, apply acid-free vaseline on the terminals and retighten the clamps.

2.Cab ventilation

2.1.Clean prefilter 70*

1.Open 2 clamps and remove the cover (1). 2.Remove the prefilter (2), and clean it with compressed air. •Replace if necessary 3.Reassamble the opposite way. 4.Adjust the check interval if another requirement is experienced.

NOTE

Never start driving without prefilter. The heater could in worsc case get damaged.

To be performed every 40 hours of operation or weekly.

2.2.Air conditioner system

•The equipment must be used for at least five minutes every week, to distribute oil in the system, this prevent leaks and ensure that the seals are lubricated •See operating controls, chapter 3, cab ventilation, about how to use the air conditioner.

•This must also be done during cold weather operation.

NOTE

At ambient temperatures below + 4° C the air conditioner will not engage. Warm up the cab before operating the air conditioner for 10 minutes.

3.Tyres

3.1.Check tyre pressures, before operation

When the pressure shall be measured, the dump truck must be unloaded.

Measure the pressure for cold tyres with a tyre pressure gauge and adjust if necessary. For tyre pressure recommendation, see chapter 8 - Technical data, and chapter 5 - Operating instructions.

WARNING

Stand behind the tread when checking the inflation pressure. Pressures inside tyres are substantial and an explosion can cause damage and serious personal injury.

4. Lubrication

Grease following lubrication points until pure grease is forced out of the component. Wipe off.

4.1. Articulation bearings, 2 lubricators 53*

Turn the dump truck completely to the right for easy access to the lubricators on the bearing hinge.

4.2. Steering cylinder bearings, 4 lubricators 54*

2 lubricators on each cylinder (one at each end). Check the complete length of cylinder rods for scratches and other damage.

4.3. Tip cylinder bearings, 4 lubricators 55*

2 lubricators on each cylinder (one at each end). Raise the body to check all cylinder pistons for scratches and other damage.

To be performed every 40 hours of operation or weekly.

4.4. Tailgate arm hinge (optional), 2 lubricators 56*

One lubricator on the inner side of each tailgate arm hinge.

5. Continue with all items in 8 Hours / Daily Service.
