34 Adjusting the response threshold The response threshold adjusts the deflection of thecompression roller from which the measurement starts. The higher the response threshold, the more crop must flow through the rollers in order to start a yield measurement. Response threshold guide value: Grass:2 ñ 3 mm Maize:3 ñ 5 mm

To modify the response threshold: ñTurn incremental sensor (7) until the response threshold is framed. ñPress incremental sensor (7) in order to change the response threshold. ñTurn incremental sensor (7) until the desired response threshold is displayed. ñPress incremental sensor (7) in order to accept the displayed response threshold. Changes of the response threshold are effective immediately. To ensure correct yield measurement, check the response threshold on the screen regularly: Yield measurement starts when the response threshold is reached or exceeded. In this case, thedisplay bar reaches the middle or the right half ofthe display. If the display bar is in the left half during operation, there is no yield measurement. ñReduce response threshold until the bar constantly reaches the middle or the right half ofthe display. If the display bar reaches the middle or the right half ofthe display at idling speed, yield measurement is active even without throughput. ñIn this case, absolutely learn the zero gap (Learning the zero gap, see page5.30).
