6 Before putting the machine into operation

6.1 Tasks to be performed

Danger!

Work on the front attachment and/or the machine must normally only be carried out with the drive OFF and diesel engine OFF. –Diesel engine OFF. –Remove the ignition key. –Remove the key of the battery isolating switch.

–Carry out maintenance work. – see page 83, Maintenance schedule –Check the safety bar for wear and damage. –Fully assemble and fit safety devices and lock them in place. –Before driving off, check that the vehicle is not carrying any loose parts. Parts that may get lost while driving must be fastened or covered up. –Do not allow any persons in the hazard area.

When persons approach the hazard area, stop the machine immediately. –Never let the machine run while unattended. –Engage front attachment only in the working position and at idle speed. – see page 77, Switching on the front attachment –Prepare the front attachment for field operation. – see page 68, Using the wood cutter
