AUTOMATIC LUBRICATION FOR ROTATING FRAME This system is optional on all machines. It supplies clean lubricant to all journal and anti-friction bearings, served by a stationary lubrication fitting on the rotating frame. The system supplies lubricant to 17 points on the boom, 24 points on swing bushings, 26 points on mast and 22 anti-friction bearings on the deck. The amount of lubricant supplied to each point, during each cycle, is controlled by the number and size of injector(s), serving each point. Further adjustments can be made by controlling the time cycle and/or by means of an adjusting screw located at the top of each injector Each injector is set for maximum delivery during break-in. This setting should not be changed during initial (break-in) operation of the machine. The system is time clock controlled and provides for one (1) cycle every 15 minutes, only during digging operation. A manual push button over-ride is provided to actuate the system at any other time. If the system, does not complete its cycle within three (3) minutes, an alarm sounds and red light will indicate lubrication system failure. The manual valve, located at the control panel, should be normally closed. It must be opened for one, twenty-four (24) hour period, once each week, to assure lubrication of the antifriction bearings and mast head. The alarm will sound to indicate:

1. A break in any main supply line to the injector. 2. Lack of proper air supply. 3. Blocked supply line. 4. Empty or cavitated lubricant supply drum. 5. Faulty pump or control system"
