Inspection and servicing

Filling in engine oil

The engine oil is filled in with the service station (optional) (Fig. 3-22:) through

! express coupling (6) for the lefthand engine oil reservoir

! express coupling (7) for the righthand engine oil reservoir until the oil level has reached the mark on dipstick (2, Fig. 3-23:).

" Unscrew cap of express coupling and connect hose line of the service vehicle

The hose line and its use are described in the "hose line for oil and cooling liquid change" section.

" Start the engines and allow to run at idling for abt. 2 minutes.

" Check oil level and top up with engine oil until the oil level has reached the mark on dipstick (2, Fig. 3-23:).

" Remove the hose line. The express coupling closes automatically.

" Screw on protective cap.
