CHECKING THE QUICK COUPLER LATCHING HOOK OPENING (optional) Service specifications

Check...........................................................................................................Weekly and each time the quick coupler is installed IMPORTANT: It is imperative to carry out this check once a week and each time the quick coupler is installed.

CD01K005 1. Place the switch in unlocking position. The audible alarm device will sound. See “Quick coupler locking and unlocking control switch” in the “Controls/Instruments/Accessories” Section.

CK00G001 2. Operate the bucket control to retract the cylinder rod completely and maintain the hydraulic pressure so the latching hook retracts and comes up against the locking bar. 1 2

CS00J511 3. Check the opening measurement (S) of the latching hook. Measurement (S) should never exceed the following: Locking bar resting on surface (1) .............................................xxx mm (2) .............................................xxx mm (3) .............................................xxx mm If measurement (S) exceeds the above, contact your CASE Dealer. Make sure the locking bar is not damaged. Check that it functions correctly and is not fouled by foreign matter.

WARNING: If the measurement (S) exceeds the maximum authorized, do not use the quick coupler and see your CASE Dealer.
