MAINTENANCE

Do not keep the starter key in position START more than 10 seconds at each attempt; otherwise, the starter motor is damaged. Warm-up the engine for at least 5 minutes, without considering ambient conditions.

Notice - If the engine has been inoperative for a long time or with low ambient temperature, increment eventually, the circulation of fuel with a few strokes of the primer pump.

Notice - Do not operate the starter motor for more than 10 seconds. If necessary, wait for a few seconds to facilitate the cooling-off of the starter motor. Avoid pointless starting attempts, since there is the risk of exhausting the batteries. Search for cause of failed starting.

Notice - The most frequent causes of starting failure may be: presence of air in the fuel system, low battery charge, defective operation of the starter motor or faults in the electrical system. Reduce the engine speed. Move the gearshifting control to neutral, pressing button N and engage the relevant safety lever into neutral position A.
