1. KEYSWITCH - The key switch has four positions: ACC, OFF, ON and

START.

NOTE: See Starting the Engine, page 56 in this manual for the correct procedure to start the engine.

BS98M031 a. Accessory - This position energizes the horn and light circuits.

BS99F076 b. Off- Turn the key to this position to stop the engine and deenergize the electrical system.

BS96H078 c. On - This position energizes the electrical system and is the normal position of the key when the engine is running.

BS99F077 d. Start - Turn the key to this position to actuate the starter motor to start the engine.
