Technical description
A venturi system on the exhaust line allows re-extracting dust contained in the air filter. Exhaust gas can flow in both directions: – To the turbocharger through the orientable fins. – To the exhaust gas recycling system "EGR" if the "M38" actuator is in open position. In this case, burnt gases are cooled by crossing (C), then mixed with fresh gases in the intake manifold. The "EGR"system reduces NOx emissions (nitrogen oxide). The quantity of gas recycled is evaluated based on the intake air temperature, recycled gas temperature and mixed air temperature information. The "A15" engine module manages the turbo's geometry in order to control this quantity of recycled gas.
