289 b. Clean the outer half assembly with ethyl alcohol. c. Coat the outside of the new bushing with Loctite 609. Then, press the bushing into the outer half so that there is the same amount of clearance between the outer bushing edge and the outer half on both sides of the bushing. d. Place the Ski-Doo outer flare tool (part No. 529 0060 00) on the bushing at the point shown in Figure 89. Then, press the flare tool with a press to flare the bushing. Knock the flare tool out of the bushing. e. Place the Ski-Doo inner flare tool (part No. 529 0061 00) on the bushing at the point shown in Figure 88. Then, press the flare tool with a press to flare the bushing. Knock the flare tool out of the bushing. 13. If there is any doubt as to the condition of any part, replace it with a new one.

Reassembly Refer to Figure 42 for this procedure. CAUTION The primary sheave is assembled dry. Do not lubricate any component.

1. Install the calibration screw (Figure 90) as follows: a. Install the washer on the inside of the governor cup and install the calibration screw (Figure 91). b. Set the calibration screw to the same number setting recorded during removal. c. Install the nut (Figure 92) and tighten securely. d. Repeat for each calibration screw. 2. Install the weights (Figure 78) as follows: a. Place the weight in the governor cup (Figure 93). NOTE The bolts used to secure the weights have serratedflanges (Figure 94). Make sure to install the correct type bolts.
