Choice of colour

Colour is something that virtually everyone has an opinion about. Different concepts require different colour schemes. Think about what you want to achieve in terms of both the interior and the ambience you aim to create.

The easiest way to ensure harmonious surroundings is to choose colours from the same scale on the colour wheel. Then work with contrasts and signals to achieve the desired effect. The interior fittings play an important role here. Bear in mind that dark surfaces require more light, so take care to choose the correct level of lighting. With the wrong choice of lighting, light-coloured surfaces can be dazzling. Small colour swatches often do not convey the intense, dominating effect created by large expanses of colour. What are NCS and RAL?

NCS, the Natural Colour System, is an international colour notation system, based on how people see colour. It is used in fields such as architecture and design. Each colour in the NCS system has its own code, for example S 1050-Y50R. The ‘S’ indicates NCS second edition. The first two figures in the notation (10) indicate the percentage of blackness. The second two figures (50) indicate the percentage of chromaticness. The last figures indicate the hue. Y stands for Yellow, R for Red, G for Green and B for Blue.

RAL is originally a German colour system and stands for Reichs Ausschuss für Lieferbedingungen. The RAL system is now used internationally. There are just over 200 colours in the RAL Classic range, and even more in the RAL Design range. RAL codes do not specify how colours should be mixed, although these days they are organised systematically.

Hestra specialises in producing store fittings that meet customers’ unique needs and requirements. Our entire production is tailored toward offering highquality store concepts with precision and attention to detail.

We have in-house production in Sweden, both for wood and metal. At our production facilities, we can guarantee the quality of every step of the manufacturing process. We also reduce

transport distances and help minimise both our own and your climate impact.

By using waste heat from a nearby company, and by having solar panels on the roof and our own wind turbines for green electricity production, we are largely self-sufficient in terms of energy. Moreover, our future aim is for all the energy we consume to be produced by us. We can proudly say that we are doing everything we can to reduce our use of fossil fuels.

Needless to say, we are also environmentally certified according to ISO 14001.

A completely free-standing fixture that is easy to assemble. No need for bolts or screws. Simply hook everything together. Any unevenness in the floor can be compensated for with our adjustable feet. The smart design gives you maximum stability and flexibility when you rearrange your store layout.

Portal - front uprights

These front uprights can be installed directly on an existing Hestra 1000 fitting without the need to dismantle anything.

The system comprises an upper and lower stay, a front upright and a top rail, and can be built in 900- and 1800 sections.

Front uprights and top rails can ideally be fitted with LED strips to illuminate the merchandise.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

• The bottom shelf must always be at least one size deeper than the shelves above it. For example: With a 530 bottom shelf, the depth of the other shelves in the section must be max. 430 mm.

• If lighting is to be used, the driver kit and extension cable must be specified. One 75W driver can be used for a maximum of five 900 sections. One extension cord per driver must also be specified (for the last front upright in each driver group).

• If using a 2486 mm upright, a front upright extension (224mm) can be used.

PALLET RACKS

Pallet racks are available in heights from 1500 to 8000 mm. In stores, work is most commonly done from the side of the pallet, and here the pallet rack ends are 800 mm deep. In warehouses work is most commonly done from the end of the pallet, and there the ends are 1100 mm deep.
