Membership Dear Golf, Tennis and Social Enthusiasts, Thank you for your interest in our membership opportunities with Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club. We are gearing up for another exciting season and with that in mind there are now even more opportunities to be a member of this great community Club. About the Club Port Royal Golf Club currently features two outstanding, well maintained, 18-hole championship golf courses that offer a range of challenges for players at every level. There are extensive practice facilities, a fully stocked pro shop, PGA instructors and an experienced and accommodating staff that will add to the enjoyment of the game. Our Tennis facility offers eight (8) Har-Tru Clay Courts and two (2) Pickleball Courts and is under the direction of a USPTR Professional who directs the club’s most active tennis programs. On the Social side there is a wide variety of member sponsored social, golf and tennis events. If you haven’t seen our Clubhouse, come take a tour. You will be thoroughly impressed with the fine cuisine, the facility and friendly staff. Some popular benefits of Port Royal Membership include: No Assessments per our Bylaws and no Food and Beverage minimum. Walking is permitted; Active Social Programs; Relaxed, Congenial Members and our TPC Passport Program with access to over 50 Premier Private and Resort Clubs nationwide. Invitation for Membership We currently have a variety of memberships available and are actively seeking interested candidates. Enclosed is a brief summary of attributes submitted for your review and consideration. We hope you will agree that there has not been a better time to become a member at Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club. Exceptional Facilities Currently Port Royal offers a beautiful blend of two championship courses, eight (8) Har-Tru Clay Courts and two (2) Pickleball Courts and a beautiful clubhouse with a private dining room for members. Robber’s Row: World famous golf course architect, Pete Dye redesigned Robber’s Row. The renovations were completed in October 1994. This scenic course is cut through beautiful stands of magnolias and live oaks and is true challenge to golfers of all handicaps. Robber’s Row is rich in history! Union Troops occupied these grounds during the Civil War period. Markers are placed throughout the course that tells the story of their stay and significant events during that period. The Barony: Designed by George Cobb in 1964 is one of the first courses on the island. From the tee box many holes appear to be relative open, but as you approach the Bermuda greens, the real challenge becomes clear. The greens are small and protected by rough and bunkers. This is a course where accuracy not length, is paramount. Outstanding Conditions Even the best of courses are easily diminished if allowed to succumb to the forces of nature and usage. We have remained committed to our history of great conditions from the season’s start to finish. Our veteran course superintendent and crew have years of local knowledge supplemented by dedicated members who actively scrutinize and preserve our quality of play. We are very proud of our product! Invaluable Relationships We offer far more than just golf and tennis! While many were drawn here by the courses, courts and its amenities, the eventual discovery of friendship and camaraderie quickly redefined our greatest asset as that of the membership itself.

Membership Our tennis programs are packed full of fun and enjoyment. Member clinics, singles, doubles, Round Robin competition and Inter club matches are all part of a well-organized tennis program. Member social activities include, the End of Month Theme Party, Bridge, Trivia, Bingo, Twilight Golf and cookout on the porch, Holiday Parties. The clubhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is the very popular Happy Hour on the Porch with live entertainment and much, much more. It is very difficult not to be involved! Incomparable Value We have a full range of membership categories that are designed to accommodate most life styles and budgets. We offer resident and non-resident golf memberships as well as tennis and social memberships. At Port Royal there are no assessments per our Bylaws and no minimums. Our newest and most exciting golf membership category. “The Legacy” Although not for everyone, the Legacy membership offer our “best value” for members who would like to play all the golf they want, have access to all the club amenities for a life time and never have to pay monthly dues, cart fees, range fees or bag storage fees, again for a life time. One payment is all it takes and with a 50% refundable feature based on subsequent resale and transferable provision this alternative is loaded with benefits and value. Future Plans Exciting plans for the future. In line with our efforts to keep our facilities updated we recognized the need to replace our current tennis facility. First, we will create all new tennis courts and a brand new sports shop right here on the Port Royal campus. Second, we plan to add a new Fitness/Wellness Center, also here on the main Port Royal campus! Approved for the Clubhouse. New furniture and renovations will include adding booths, paint, and new carpet. The Board Room will have hard wood flooring and can be used for alternate dining opportunities for members and guests. In addition, there will be a reconfigured bar and main dining area to accommodate as many as 160 for dinner. Take charge of your golfing, tennis and social future! Robber’s Row Enhancements Greens All greens were expanded closer to the original green sizes and re-grassed with Champion Bermuda sprigs. Course Markers New tee markers and yardage markers were installed throughout the golf course. First Tee Welcome Console New signage helps communicate daily updates for the golf course, including cart path rules, hole locations and other pertinent information. This signage also includes a clock to help keep us on time. In addition to the message board, we have installed a supply station to keep a stock of scorecards, tees and pencils on the first tee for our players’ convenience. Historical Monuments Historical monuments were added to Holes #1, #3, #9, and #13. These monuments help tell the story of our golf course’s history, including the Civil War history of the land Robber’s Row sits on. Hole-By-Hole Improvements ff H ole #4 — The bulkhead was rebuilt and washout areas of the sand were filled in to restore the playability of the bunker guarding the green ff H ole #6 — A sand bunker short right of the green has been added to restore the original design of the hole ff H ole #17 — With a helping hand from Hurricane Matthew, the bridge crossing Miller’s Pond has been replaced and widened Sod Work We have been able to grow more grass on the course this past year. Most notably, you will find fresh grass in the following play areas: ff Hole #1 — Left of the green at fairway height ff Holes #2 and #6 — Along cart path we removed pine straw and replaced with rough-height sod ff Hole #8 — Fresh sod has shorten the forced carry over the waste area ff Hole #18 — New rough-height sod has improved the playability near the cart path’s turn Landscaping By using select plantings and flowers, we have magnified the beauty of the golf course, especially around teeing grounds and green complexes.
