DE WATERKANT INSTITUTION - TUT YEAR - SECOND YEAR - 2007 BRIEF - Design a bachelor apartment The aim of this project was to design a bachelor home within a conďŹ ned space in De Waterkant, Cape Town.

This conceptual project tested our planning abilities as well as our CAD knowledge.

FARM RETREAT INSTITUTION - TUT YEAR - THIRD YEAR - 2008 BRIEF - Retreat for Mr. Bacchus Nel Proposed Hoodia farm and holiday retreat.

The San Bushman, have used Hoodia as an appetite suppressant on their long journeys. The western world now uses the plant to battle illnesses such as obesity and weight loss problems.

The design accommodates for casual retreat and a self sustaining Hoodia Farm in Prince Albert, South Africa.

BEACH HOUSE INSTITUTION - TUT YEAR - FOURTH YEAR - 2009 BRIEF - Beach House Mkwezi Mouth The aim of this project was to design a lock-up-and-go beach house with interactive interior spaces.

SHIFT SOCIAL HOUSING COMPETITION INSTITUTION - TUT YEAR - FITH YEAR- 2010 BRIEF - Social housing, Colbyn Pretoria.

Situated next to the Apies River in Pretoria, the design intervention proposes an affordable and accessible low cost housing solution with decentralised amenities to create a walk-able community.

GA The thesis addressed a number of architectural issues, mainly the relevance of a Music Centre building typology within a township framework.
