Avon Town Council NOTICE TO CITIZENS OF ADOPTION AND SUBSTANCE OF A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA IN THE TOWN OF AVON

Notice is hereby given to the citizens of the Town of Avon, Indiana that the Avon Town Council adopted a declaratory resolution establishing an economic revitalization area at the Town of Avon Town Council meeting on December 2, 2021. The Town of Avon ¬has prepared maps and plats, or a simplified description of the boundaries that identify the area found to be an economic revitalization area. A description of the affected area is available and can be inspected in the Hendricks County Assessor’s Office located at 355 S Washington St, #230 Danville, IN 46122.

This declaratory resolution finds that a site owned by RISE Avon, LLC, a development company, qualifies for and is found to be an Economic Revitalization Area because it is an area within the Town of Avon which has become undesirable for, or impossible of, normal development and occupancy because of a lack of development, cessation of growth, deterioration of improvements or character of occupancy, age, obsolescence, standard building, or other factors which have impaired values or prevent a normal development of property or use of property. RISE Avon, LLC desires to grow business in the Town of Avon by re-utilizing property and constructing speculative industrial buildings. The site is located on the east side of S Ronald Reagan Parkway, north of CR 200 S (parcel no. 32-09-17-300-004.000-031, 32- 09-17-376-001.000-031, 32-09-17-325-003.000-031 and 32-09-17-100-009.000-031). RISE Avon, LLC is not a retail business.

The Avon Town Council will receive and hear all remonstrances and objections from interested person at its regularly scheduled Town Council meeting at 7 o’clock p.m. on December 16, 2021. Interested parties appearing at this public hearing will have the right to heard on this issue. Written remonstrates may be filed with the Avon Town Council. The Town Council will provide a copy of this Notice of Adoption and a statement containing substantially the same information as a statement of benefits filed with Avon Town Council with officers of the taxing unit who are authorized to fix budgets, tax rates, and tax levies under Indiana Code § 6-1.1-17-5 at least 10 days before the date of the public hearing. After considering the evidence, the Avon Town Council will take final action determining whether the qualifications for an economic revitalization area have been met and confirming, modifying and confirming, or rescinding the resolution. This determination is final except that an appeal may be taken and heard

A person who files a written remonstrance with the Avon Town Council and who is aggrieved by the final action taken may, within ten (10) days after that final action, initiate an appeal of the action by filing in the office of the clerk of the Hendricks County circuit or superior court.

FULL-TIME PATROLMAN WANTED

The Danville Metropolitan Police Department is now accepting pre-applications for Full-Time Patrolman for the Town of Danville. The Pre-Application form and Release and Hold Harmless Agreement MUST be submitted by either email, mail, or in-person at the Danville Metropolitan Police Department by Friday, December 10th, 2021, at 4:00 PM. Additional information regarding the hiring process will be communicated to applicants after your pre-application has been processed.

Applicants shall be a United States citizen, at least 21 years of age at the time of employment, possess a valid Indiana driver’s license, be a high school graduate or equivalent, have no felony convictions, no serious misdemeanor convictions, no domestic violence convictions, and if offered a position, must obtain residence within a contiguous county to Hendricks County, Indiana within 180 days.
