CATHERINE S. HAYNES
85, Brownsburg, passed away Oct. 18, 2020.

She was born in Terre Haute, Ind. on August 24, 1935. Her life-long career was devoted to education. After graduating from Staunton High School, she received her Bachelor and Masters degrees from Indiana State University and completed all but her dissertation toward a doctorate. Her professional educational accomplishments included teaching one year of secondary language arts and variety of elementary grades at Brownsburg, Cicero, and Sanders and Maplewood Elementary in Wayne Township.
She was Director of Early Childhood for the Indiana Department of Education, Director of an Early Childhood Center in Indianapolis, and was a professor at Depauw University.
Catherine also was responsible for several published articles and mixed media presentations, as well as appearing on local tv programs regarding early childhood concerns.
While at ISU, she became a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Catherine was active in the community as a Charter Member and first president of Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Phi Chapter and served as a state officer for two years.
She was a member of Hendricks County Retired Teachers Association and Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She was a member and local or state officer of several professional educational org1anizations. She served as an Associate Council member of Job’s Daughters, Bethel #107, Brownsburg, was a Past Bethel Guardian of Bethel #99, Plainfield and served as Grand Librarian, on the state level. She, also, was a member of Brownsburg Chaper #266, OES. Catherine served on the Hearing Improvement Kids Endowment Board (HIKE) for Job’s Daughters International.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Letha Scheid and her husband, Hubert R. Haynes.
Survivors are daughter Miranda Edelstein; grandsons Ross, Cole, and Drew Edelstein.

ANNA ELIZABETH ANDRICK
beloved infant daughter of Austin and Jennifer, Andrick entered into heaven October 6, 2021.
Infant Anna was also loved by grandparents Connie and David Searcy, Jennifer and Ed Richards, and Kenneth Andrick; great grandparents Pudge and Rita Richards and Mildred Copeland.

KAREN ANN RUDICIL GRAY
71, Brownsburg, passed away October 5, 2021.
Born April 28, 1950, `Karen was a 1968 graduate of Pike High School and worked in accounting for Indianapolis Life Insurance and Micro-Poise, before starting her own business of Karen’s Appliqued Sweats. She enjoyed her book club, sewing club and the Tea Ladies Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents Troy and Janiece Rudicil.
She is survived by her loving husband Douglas Gray and her son Colin Gray.
Memorial services took place Tuesday, October 12 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
WILLIAM B. MARSH
57, of Plainfield, passed away October 10, 2021.
He was born January 25, 1964 in Indianapolis, to the late Woodrow and Mary (Grayer) Marsh. He was a member of the Mooresville Masonic Lodge #669.
He was a deputy for the Hendricks County Sheriffs Department from 1997 until 2020.
Bill is survived by his wife, Rhonda Kay (Sparks) Marsh; a son, Jacob William Marsh; two daughters, Rachel Kay Marsh and Sarah Elizabeth Marsh; and a brother, Steve (Linda) Marsh.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, basketball, football, and racing. He treasured time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
ROBERT CHARLES “BOB” MONROE
71, of Danville, passed away October 7, 2021. He was born July 13, 1950 in Indianapolis the son of Theodore Roosevelt Charles Monroe and Pauline May (Workman) Monroe.
Robert served our country in the United States Navy as a Signalman retiring after 20 years. He also was a member of the Plainfield Lions Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pam Monroe, and sons, Jeffrey and Justin Monroe. He is also survived by two sisters, Patty and Evelyn, three brothers Mike, Tommy, and Roger Monroe, along with numerous cousins and family members.
The family would like to thank VA Medical Center of Indianapolis ALS Multi disciplinary team and staff for their wonderful care and compassion for Robert and their family during his time with them. The family would also like to thank Kindred Hospice for their loving care and assistance.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday October 15, 2021 at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Danville South Cemetery.

LUCIAN A. COOKSEY
83 of Pittsboro (formerly Brownsburg), passed away peacefully in his home, with his loving family at his side, October 10, 2021.
Funeral Services took place Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, Pittsboro. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the American Cancer Society or the Pittsboro Christian Church.

CAROLYN J. GOLDMAN
of Danville, passed away peacefully at home on October 04, 2021, at the age of 82.
She was born on November 03, 1938, in Danville. to the late Deloris M. Pearce Bradley and Albert W. Anderson. Carolyn graduated from Danville High School in 1956, worked for Farm Bureau for several years, and later attained her real estate license.
She married James Dwain Goldman (who recently passed on March 16, 2021) on August 30, 1958 and they were married for 62 years at the time of her passing.
Carolyn was a member of the Conservation Club in Danville and the Hendricks County Senior Center. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines’ Choral group, a troop leader for both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and a “Team Mom” for many sporting teams when her children were growing up. She attended Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah J. Blevins (Scott) of Santa Fe, N.M., and Sheryl L. Chalfant (Todd) of Spencer, Ind.; sister, Janice M. Miller (Ronald) of Fort Myers, Fla.; stepmother, Lucy Anderson and stepbrother, Kenneth Batchelor, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn,; grandchildren, Samantha Monnett (Joey), Harmon M. Goldman (Joanna), Blaine A. Blevins (Megan), Jessica B. Chalfant; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan Isabelle, Kash, Kolton, Stevie and Taylor.
Her parents (Deloris and Albert), stepfather (Robert Bradley), husband (James Dwain), son (Michael Dwain Goldman) and grandson (Logan T. Chalfant) precede her in death.

JOAN E. KUHN
71, of Plainfield, formerly of Raccoon Lake, passed away October 8, 2021.
She was born January 9, 1950 to the late Dr. Milton and Juliet (Simon) Herzberg in Chicago, Illinois. She was a 1968 Clinton High School graduate. She was a homemaker. She loved horseback riding, boating and was an avid pet lover.
Joan married Robert “Bob” Kuhn on February 14, 1983 and is survived by him. She is also survived by a son, David Kuhn; a daughter, Angela (James) Kuhn; a brother, Robert (Lori) Herzberg; 3 grandchildren, Wyatt Kuhn, Kayla Hastings and Ella Hastings; a niece, Tami (Denny) Tesch; a great nephew, Noah Tesch and a great niece, Lylah Tesch.

SHERRY A. BYRNE
64, Avon, passed away on September 28, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Daniel W. Shaffer Jr. and Larry Byrne; parents Richard and Rita Olson.
Survivors include her son Nathaniel (Mila) Shaffer; sister Cindy (Clay) Jackson; brother Rick Olson; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

BYRON L “BARNEY” HUNSINGER
93, Brownsburg, passed away September 29, 2021.
Byron served in the US Air Force from 1950-54 and retired from Detroit Diesel Allison General Motors Division, after 28 years.
He was a long-time active member of Connection Pointe Christian Church.
His son, Chris Hunsinger, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Aleene Hunsinger; daughters Janene (Azar) Nader and Jana (Kenny)

SAMANTHA “SAM” S. JACKSON
35, of Brownsburg, and formerly of Monrovia, gained passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, with her loving family by her side, while in the care of Danville Regional Hospital.
She was born on September 18, 1986, in Danville, Ky, to the late Billy “Dale” Jackson and Terl K. Still, who survives.
Transplanted into the small town life of Monrovia at an early age, Sam spent her extracurricular activities in choir, as well as cheerleading with the Monrovia youth league. After high school, she secured employment as a leasing manager for apartment complexes.
Free-spirited, fun-loving and sometimes with a wicked, dark sense of humor, Sam loved life and her family.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Tracy and Eleanor Still, and Billy C. Jackson.
Sam leaves behind her beloved son Brayden T. Jackson of Brownsburg; mother Terl Still of Brownsburg; brothers Billy Jackson of Mooresville and Jesse B. Cline (Alex) of Greencastle; best friend Sam Asperger and her son, Tristan of Jamestown; and her fur baby, Mr. P.
Sam’s family would like to give a special shout-out to the amazing team at Danville Regional Hospital.
A Gathering of Friends & Family will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, Monrovia, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 1:30 p.m., with services livestreamed on Light Memorial’s Facebook page.

73, of Pittsboro, passed away unexpectedly, October 9, 2021 at her beloved campground in Cloverdale, Indiana.
Edith was born August 1, 1948 to Josepth and Edith (Campbell) Buerger. She was a graduate of Brownsburg High School.
Edith was first and foremost a loving homemaker to her family.
Survivors include her husband Bruce and daughter, Kelly Pence.

EARL R. “BUDDY” YATES
84, of Danville, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
He was born on November 24, 1936 in Russellville, Kentucky, to the late McKinley and Elizabeth (McPhail) Yates. Earl served four years in the United States Air Force prior to meeting the love of his life, Georgia E. Kidd. They wed on July 24, 1961 in Indianapolis. In 1978, they moved to Danville to raise their family and enjoy a simple life.
He retired from GM Truck and Bus, Indianapolis, in 1998 after 34 years.
Earl was a gentle soul who always had a smile and kind word for others. He will forever be cherished and remembered by his loving wife of 60 years, Georgia Yates; children, Brian (Brenda), Calvin (Jennifer); grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Kayla (Evan), Waylon (Marissa); and one great grandson, Raiden. Earl will be missed by his sisters, Lucy, Edith, Doris (Larry), Connie (Larry), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill and Harold; and sisters, Dottie, Lottie and Jane.

JERRY MAX COKAIN
82, of Mooresville, Ind., passed away on September 26, 2021, with family by his side.
He was born in Logansport, Ind. on February 4, 1939, to George Edward Cokain and Sarah Florence (Pottmeyer) Cokain.
He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1957. He was president of his senior class, and a three-sport athlete, holding the pole vault record for 12 years. After graduation, he attended Purdue University.
Jerry owned and operated Hoosier Aircraft Accessories, Inc. at Indianapolis International Airport for nearly 40 years.
Preceding him in death are sisters, Virginia Jarrett, Carol Larson, and Marilyn Southland; stepdaughter Debra Foster Heidenreich and stepson Brad Foster.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Patricia (Figg-Foster) Cokain, son Jeffrey Cokain (Therese), daughters Julia Walden and Jennifer Lents (Michael), 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Jerry had a passion for all things aviation. Other interests included working on race cars, competing in adult go-cart races, fishing, scuba diving, snow skiing, and boating.
Jerry has been a long-time member of Mt. Gilead Christian Church. Prior to that, he attended Traders Point Christian Church.
Services were Thursday, September 30, at Flanner Buchanan-Decatur Township. Burial followed at Fairfield Friends Cemetery, Camby, Indiana. Contributions may be made to Mt. Gilead Christian Church, mgchurch.org
AUDREY BEATRICE COFFIN
94, of Coatesville, passed away October 4, 2021.
She is survived by children Robert Coffin II and Kimberly Coffin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Coffin and daughter Bonnie Coffin.

THOMAS ALLEN FISHER
65, of Plainfield, passed away October 5, 2021.
Born on July 28, 1956 in Wuerzburg, Germany to the late Raymond M. Fisher and Pauline (Tomlinson) Fisher of Cartersburg. He was raised in Plainfield, Indiana where he graduated from Plainfield High School in 1974. He attended DeVry University in Chicago, Illinois, graduating with a degree in electronics.
He came back to Plainfield to work at Williams Brothers Appliances before he became a city mail carrier for the town of Plainfield in 1978. He worked for 33 years as a mail carrier in Plainfield, delivering mail to most of the city routes at some point during his career.
He loved being a Boy Scout when he was growing up and became a Boy Scout leader later with his own sons.
After retiring from the Post Office on July 30, 2011 he became an avid woodworker, making many projects for his friends and family. He loved helping people and was involved in church ministries at Reunion Church a satellite church of Plainfield Christian Church. He also volunteered at Active Grace, Family Promise and helped with the Just Be Kind Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Fisher and sons, Bradley A. Fisher and Thomas E. Fisher, and a brother, Raymond P. Fisher and sister-inlaw Ramona Fisher. A Celebration of Lifetook place Saturday October 9, at the Hampton Gentry Funeral home, Plainfield.
RICK ARTHUR INABNIT
age 60, of Brownsburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
Rick was born March 11, 1961 in Indianapolis. He was the manager of Great Dane Transportation.
Rick enjoyed playing games, motorcycles, sports, country music especially Johnny Cash.
Rick is survived by his mother, Wanda Downs Inabnit, son, Mikel Inabnit, sisters, Rhonda Lynch, Renee St. Clair, grandchildren, Oliver, Caroline and Alexander Inabnit.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Inabnit.

ROBYN L. PHILLIPS
44, Brownsburg, passed away on October 9, 2021.
She was a homemaker. She knew how to bring family together and make everyone smile. She was the heart and soul of the whole family. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Shane Phillips; children, Candice Robinson, Robert Wojciechowski, Wesley Hopper, Brittany Cieczka, Wendy Cieczka, Nicole McClatchey, Jena Terry, and Cheyenne Blankenship; grandchildren Jonathan, Hayden, and Sapphire; brother, Lee Myers and sister Jenny Dubey.
NANCY KATHLEEN (Turner) ROSEMEYER
passed peacefully at her home in Brownsburg at 12:30 a.m. on October 10, 2021.
Kathy was born on September 3, 1933 in Tennessee to Robert and Virginia (Harvey) Turner. After graduating from Bentonville High School in 1951, she joined the United States Air Force. While serving in the military in South Carolina, she met her future husband, William “Bill” Rosemeyer. They were married on December 25, 1953 and moved to Brownsburg.
Kathy’s service to and love of her country were shown by her actions and attire. She was a proud American veteran. Kathy had many other loves including her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends. She was a member of Connection Point Church, Brownsburg American Legion (50- year member), and the Indiana Softball Hall of Fame.
Her loving, hard-working, competitive spirit was shown in her coaching and playing. After playing competitive softball herself, she developed the first softball team for girls in Brownsburg in 1966. Her love of competition continued as she bowled and played golf for many years. In addition, she thoroughly enjoyed a trip to the casino or a stay at the beach. Kathy’s undeniable giving heart was so appreciated by her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Bill; her brothers-Herb Turner and Bob Turner; her sons-Mike (Debbie) Rosemeyer and Greg (Lori) Rosemeyer; her three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren-Amanda (Jeremy) Peterson, Adam (Ashley) Rosemeyer, Megan (Oscar Acevedo) Rosemeyer, Ryan (Nicole) Sampson, and Eric (Kaitlin) Sampson; and 11 precious great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-John Turner and Dick Turner.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday October 14, with visitation from 10 a.m. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery, Pittsboro.
SHIRLEY R. (Mitchell) EADS
77, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2021.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was affectionately known as “Ny” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Mitchell and Thelma Mitchell; her husband, T.L. Eads Jr.; her son, Karl Marsh; and her siblings, Carl Mitchell, Ronald Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Dorothy Mitchell and Peggy Arnold,
She is survived by her children, Kevin (Lori) Marsh, Terry Eads, Tonya (Cliff) Heidorn, and Teresa (Sky) Allen; 10 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren; her siblings, Sally Schank, June Komala, and David Mitchell.
A graveside memorial service took place at Maple Hill Cemetery (Plainfield) on Saturday October 9.
PATRICIA A. (Jackson) HOWARD
73, of Plainfield, passed away October 9, 2021.
She was born February 10, 1948 in Jacksonville, Kentucky. She worked in the laundry department at Plainfield Healthcare for many years until retirement.
She was a member of the Bethel Family Worship Center in Indianapolis.
Pat is survived by a son, Bill Brower; four daughters, Brenda Johnson, Debbie (Terry) Heymig, Tina Meis, and Heather Ingle; two brothers, Robert Crosby and Jim Gorman; two sisters, Janey Hamilton and Karen Gorman Padgett; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Sunday from 2:30 until service time at 4 p.m.
JAMES H. “JIM” FALK
passed away October 7, 2021. Memorial services took place Saturday, October 9, at the Bible Church of Brownsburg. Arrangements; Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
Jim was born on December 4, 1940 to Henry J. and Marie (Sukau) Falk in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. Jim grew up on the family farm in Butterfield, Minnesota. He attended Butterfield-Odin school and graduated from High School in 1958.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted as a volunteer in 1W Service and drove to Betheseda, Maryland to begin his work as a guinea pig at the NIH (National Institute of Health). From there he moved to Reedley, California to work for the Kingsview Psychiatric hospital as a volunteer maintenance person. In 1960, Jim attended a wedding of a friend and met his future wife there. On December 28, 1961, he married Beatrice Wall. Their son, LeRoy was born in 1962 and their daughter Jenny was born in 1966. In 1969, they moved to Butterfield, Minnesota to take over the family farm.
He served in church in nearly every capacity there was. Jim was the person to call if anything needed done from painting the church to removing snow in winter to taking a stranger to a destination in a neighboring town.
In 2012, they sold the family farm and moved to Danville, Indiana to be near their daughter.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice, his son, LeRoy, his daughter, Jenny and her children, Rodney III, Amanda and her husband Kyle Jorns, their daughters, Hannah and Hallie, and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-inlaw, Rodney Ziemer, Jr.
