Doris spent every weekend in Bicknell with her mother, Ruby Vale Privett, and spoiling her many nieces and nephews. Annual escapades included mushroom, strawberry & persimmon picking, a special bunny cake at Easter, each child receiving a special Christmas gift, a balloon drop for New Year’s Eve & later fishing in Greene County

It was at Sarkes Tarzian that she met the love of her life, David J. Korb. They were married May 5, 1984 and resided on their 80-acre tree farm, GraceGlen, in rural Greene County. Their interest included: conserving natural resources by planting evergreen trees, observing wildlife, encouraging native plant growth, visiting state parks and especially welcoming family and friends. One of Doris’s favorite pastimes was caring for her lawn. She & David were also avid IU fans. Doris loved shirts with 2 pockets, blue jeans & her trusty sweater. David preceded her in death September 6, 2020. Doris will also be missed by the Korb extended family.
