CHAD DAVIS
48, passed away August 7, 2021.

Chad was known for his wicked sense of humor, being an outstanding cook and love for his family and brothers. For the past few years Chad found great joy in riding his motorcycle, and playing endless games of fetch with his loyal canine companions Roxy and Duke. Chad was known for showing up for his friends and family and always being the life of the party.
Left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his wife, Heather Heiser-Davis and children, Xander Davis and Remy Davis.
A celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Lodge 5556 US 40 Plainfield, IN 46168 on August 25, 2021 from 5 until 8 p.m. The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made for the education of Chad’s children.

92, of Danville, passed away August 15, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Pat was born March 10, 1929, in Indianapolis, to the late John Carlisle and Varideen Corrin (Cullom) Dehn.
Pat worked for Peoples Bank as a bank teller. She was attended Oak View Baptist Church in Okeechobee, Florida. She was a member of Daughter of American Revolution and Genealogical Society. She also enjoyed reading a good novel. Pat loved and adored her family especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Glenn Schrader, daughter, Patty Jo Brooks; and sister, Peggy Jo Dehn.
Survivors include her son John C. (Shelley) Schrader; brother, James (Louise) Dehn; grandchildren, Travis Schrader, Ashely (Josh) Derbyshire, Alycia (James) Parker, and Derek (Heather) Brooks; and great grandchildren, Mason, Steele, Hannah, Trinidi, and Cody.

69, Indianapolis, passed away August 11, 2021.
She had retired from Carolina Narrow Fabrics. Debbie enjoyed the ocean, collecting sea shells and all things of nature.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Amber Lewis.
She is survived by her husband David Jones; children Angel Ernstes (husband David), Wendy Rather (husband Josh), Eddie Lewis, Shannon Pool (husband Joe) and Blake Jones (wife Leslie); brother Jim Fields (wife Crystal); 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, August 17, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with burial following in the Brownsburg Cemetery.
MARILYN MEDORA BROWN
of Avon, passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born October 26th, 1948 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Everett and Dorothy Bailey.
She proudly served as a member of the USO and was employed by Indiana National Bank for many years. She was very passionate about family and friends, never missed an opportunity to help any animal cause or Veteran service program, and never knew a stranger. She was a Manual High School grad, class of 1966. She enjoyed travel to anywhere there was sand, water, and good food. Other passions included gardening, music, cooking, and trying new foods. She was an incredible Mother to all she cared for.
She is survived by her loving husband John, children, Craig and wife Angela and Paul, and girlfriend Becky. Grandchildren Taylor and Nae and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4 to 5 pm with visitation from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Avon Conkle funeral home. Dress is fun, colorful, beach casual as she would have it no other way. We are planning on a Zoom call presence for those unable to attend, please reach out to Craig for details.

47, of Camby, passed away on August 11, 2021.
She was born in Danville, Illinois on June 12, 1974 to Fredrick Browning and Linda Keeling. Stefanie was a senior processor for One America Insurance Company. She enjoyed doing crochet, crafts, watching the Hallmark Channel and watching Disney movies. Stefanie was kind to everyone she met. She loved spending time with her family more than anything.
Funeral services were Tuesday, August 17, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial followed at Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her loving husband, Billy Boger; parents, Fredrick (Dottie) Browning and Linda Keeling; sons, Sam, Chris (Tatiana) and Matthew Boger; sister, Terrie (Jim) Strebing; brother, Fedie Browning.

STEVEN D. SMITH
62, of Clayton, passed away at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital in Danville on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Memorial Services were Saturday, August 14, atthe Decatur Township Church of Christ, West Newton, Ind. Cremation was chosen.
Steve was born in Indianapolis to the late Edward J. and Dorothy (Shumate) Smith. He graduated from Mooresville High School with the class of 1977. Steve married Candice Lewis on June 16, 1978. Not only a minister preaching the gospel since 1980, Steve was the genealogist in the Indiana Room of the Danivlle Public Library. He was a member of the Shelbyville, Ind. Church of Christ, and a member of the Avon Optimist Club, Danville Rotary Club, and the Buick GS Club of Indiana, the Danville Museum Board, and the Mooresville High Scool Alumni Association. Steve was a disbled American veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Candice; daughters, Rachel (Kevin) Rosenbaum of Lafayette, Cori (Adam) Fuller of Alexandria, Ky.; sons, Adam (Erica) Smith of Burton, Ohio, Caleb Smith of Lexington, Ky.; 12 grandchildren, Josiah, Lydia, and Hannah Fuller, Ava, Emilie, and Anna Smith, Naomi, Clara, Isaac, Hadassah, Henry, and Eleanor Rosenbaum; sister, Vicki (Steve) Wainscott of Decatur, Ind., and a brother, Mark Smith of Indianapolis.

He was born on May 22, 2021 in Danville to Kevin and Kristena (Cummings) Whitaker. Along with his parents, he is survived by his sister, Emma Whitaker; brothers, Kasen Whitaker, J. D. Raab, Jr.; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Terry & Mandi L. EVELYN L. JOHNSON
90, Brownsburg, passed away on August 10, 2021.
She did child care for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Johnson, parents Clifford and Lucille Nash, and sister Doris Lovell.
Survivors include her daughter Linda (Glenn) Mohr; son Richard (Sue) Johnson; granddaughter Crystal Johnson; step grandchildren Danny Dixon and Angie Dixon; great granddaughter Antonia Dixon; niece Janet (Lou) Moneymaker. Funeral services were Monday, August 16, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Burial was in Brownsburg Cemetery.

MARK A. HARDWICK
65 of Plainfield, passed away August 12, 2021.
He was born on November 19, 1955 in Indianapolis, to the late Carl and Connie (Butler) Hardwick. Mark married Janice Bell on October 01, 1977.
He was the owner of Mobile Mix Concrete, worked for Modified Concrete, Groninger Excavating and retired from Rays Trash Service in 2019.
Mark was very active in Plainfield youth programs, coaching various sports and served as the President of the Babe Ruth league for many years. In his latter years, Mark enjoyed refereeing IHSAA basketball games with many friends.
He adored spending time and traveling with family and friends, fishing on the Lake Erie, coaching his granddaughters, and beaching at his second home in Madeira Beach, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice Hardwick of Plainfield; son, Ben Hardwick (Emily); brothers, Gary and Scott Hardwick; and 2 granddaughters, Lily and Laney Hardwick.
His parents and daughter, Abigail Hardwick, preceded him in death.

JAMES L. “JIM” LUND
age 92, of Plainfield, passed away on August 12, 2021.
He was born on November 8, 1928 in Quincy, Indiana, to the late Dahrl and Mary Lois Thompson. He married Joan Small on February 13, 1954.
Jim was an auto mechanic for 38 years at Paul Harvey Ford of Indianapolis, retiring in 1991.
He is an U. S. Army veteran serving from August 1949 to February 1950, and attends the Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Joan Lund of Plainfield; sons, James Lund II (Kathleen), Joseph Lund, Jonathan Lund (Cheryl); brothers, Hubert Lund, Harrold Lund (Bonnie); sister, Betty Davis; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services took place Tuesday, August 17, in Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church, Plainfield. Burial followed in West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is in charge of the arrangements.

84, passed away August 12, 2021.
She was a billing specialist for Physiotherapy and a member of the OES-Corinthian Chapter #456.
Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Williams.

DALE E. MURPHY
71, of Plainfield, passed away July 23, 2021.
He was born October 6, 1949 to the late Jodie and Adelle (Young) Murphy in Indianapolis. He was an US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked 20 years at Uniroyal, Indianapolis, and later worked in maintenance at the City-County Building for 28 years retiring in 2014.
Dale is survived by a son, Robert A. (Stacy Dayton) Murphy; a daughter, Deanna L. (Lonney) O’Connor; a brother, Jackie (Ellen) Murphy; a sister, Debra Groves; 5 grandchildren, Timmy (Katie) O’Connor, Bradley O’Connor, Jonhas Murphy, Jayda Murphy, and Neva Murphy; and a great-grandson, Wyatt O’Connor.

43, passed away August 8, 2021.
He was a Postal Carrier for the US Postal Service. Ben was also a graduate of Speedway High School-1996.
He is survived by his daughter, Frances Jean Melvin; parents, Tom and Judy Melvin; sisters, Amanda (Alan) Faulkner and Maria Melvin; former wife, Christy Cressman; nephew and nieces, Adam and Alexa Faulkner, Raelee Melvin; uncles and aunts, Bo (Terry) Melvin, Lynn (Keith) Adams, Kathy (Jim) Ader, Joe Dickey and John (Pam) Lennie; many cousins.

79, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 10, 2021.
He was born on May 2, 1942 in Beverly, Ky. to the late Miller and Clara Jackson. Harold was a tool and die setter for GM for 40 years. He was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church. Harold volunteered at the Hazelwood Fire Department.
He loved to travel as often as he could. Harold loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Jackson; brother, Mike Jackson; sisters, Cathy, Delvis and Evelyn.
Funeral services took place Monday, August 16, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial followed in Clayton Cemetery.

ROBERT TYLER MILES
age 33, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, in Indianapolis.
Tyler is survived by his wife, Monica Miles, his children, Connor, Drew, Lauren, and their unborn child, of Indianapolis; his parents, Robert “Kell” and Tammy Miles, of North Salem; his brother Tanner M iles (Zoe McDaniel) of Lafayette, Ind.; his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Mary Owen of Indianapolis; sister-inlaw Emily Owen (Brantley Heath) of Indianapolis; his maternal grandparents Charles Robert “Bob” and Nancy Curran of Bainbridge, Ind.; paternal grandparents Robert “Bob” and Donna Mae Miles of Coatesville and many aunts, uncles and cousins who all adored Tyler.
Tyler was born on June 24, 1988 in Greencastle, Ind. He graduated from Tri-West High School in 2007 and dominated on the soccer field through his senior year. He graduated from Ball State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Following college, he briefly worked at the Indiana State House before beginning his own business as a self-employed real estate appraiser.
He married his soulmate Monica (Owen) in Brownsburg, in 2012 and they built a beautiful life together. He was the definition of the perfect husband: loving, selfless, and always putting his family first. He never met a stranger and if you were one of his wife’s friends, you were his friend too. He coached countless soccer teams and enjoyed grilling out, golfing, camping, and playing games with his kids. He was a man who always did more than he was asked, loved his wife faithfully, and cherished every moment with his family. They were his greatest treasures.
Tyler was a great family man and a loving father. Described by his children as the “King of the Dad Jokes,” they say he was the best kind of dad you could ever want and that being a good dad was important to him.
He left his mark on this world, touching many lives, and his beautiful smile and bright eyes will never be forgotten.
Services were Sunday, August 15, at Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg. Burial followed at Brownsburg Cemetery, with Steve Reeves officiating. DENISE ARLENE BROOKING CRANE
68, of Plainfield, passed away on August 9, 2021.
She was born in Indianapolis November 17, 1952 to Frances and Betty (Hoagland) Brooking, both preceding her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles Crane, and daughter Shanon Martinez.
Denise was an EMT for Wayne Township Fire Department and worked at the Indiana Blood Center before going into in home child care for 30 years.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for over 52 years and operated their Food Pantry. Sshe loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world.
Denise is survived by her children Michele (Casey) Thompson, Tiffany (Marc) Sandberg and Phillip (Mallery) Crane; grandchildren Corinda (Eric), Logan (Rashade), Ashlyne (Connor), Nicholas (Morgan), Riley, Hailey, Mason, Jacey, Brooklyn and Camden; great grandchildren Isaac, Lucas and Emmie; siblings Belinda (Jim), Ray (Pam), Debra (Richard), Joe (Sharon), Pat (Karen) and Melissa; four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews and bonus family Cindy, Jonathan, Kaitlyn Jenkins (kids), Jessi Warren, Aubree and Brantley.
Services were Tuesday, August 17, at Stevens Mortuary, Indianapolis. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
EVA K. BUIS
80, Beech Grove, passed away August 12, 2021.
She had been an administrative assistant to the Director of Laboratories for the Department of Health.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Oakley and Martha Elizabeth Carlton, and brother Dennis Lee Carlton.
Survivors include sisters Norene Van Hook and Madge Frazier; nephew Jim Henderson; niece Elizabeth Suzanna Murphy.

FRANCES I. GOODMAN
88, Brownsburg, passed away August 16, 2021.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, David Leon Goodman, parents, Dewey and Lola Bingham and a sister, Emma Jean Crites.
Survivors include her children, David Rickey Goodman (wife Elayne) and Carol Ann Jones (husband Jeff); three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Private services will be held and Frances will be laid to rest next to her husband in Brownsburg Cemetery. Arrangements: Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
