CHARLES G. “CHAR-LIE” MORELOCK

92, of Danville, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his home, with his family by his side.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place prior to a celebration of life service. This service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2021 in Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home Danville, with visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of service. A gathering of friends and family will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2021 at Danville South Cemetery for a graveside service and burial of his cremains. The wearing of masks is optional for both services.

“Charlie” was born in Jonesville, Virginia, to the late Charles W. and Ethel (Eldridge) Morelock. He an Patricia “Pat” Sanders were married May 22, 1954; she preceded him in death on December 2, 2018.

Charlie had been a police officer for the Town of Danville from August 25, 1958 until he retired January 3, 1981. He was also a contract driver for the United States Postal Service for many years, as well as owning and operating Morelock and Son Excavating Service.

He his late wife, Pat, were founding members of the Hendricks County Saddle Club.

Survivors include his children, Susan “Susie” (Jim) Chezem, Jamie Sue Huffman, Wes Morelock, all of Danville; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Charlie was also preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean Bridges.

Contributions may be given to one’s favorite charity in memory of Charlie.

DONNA LOUISE MILLER WOODY

88, of Plainfield, passed away June 27, 2021.

She was born January 9, 1933, in Indianapolis, to Paul and Helen (Kestler) Weilhammer. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School.

Donna married Charles F. Miller. Together shared 18 wonderful years together. Charles passed away in 1969.

Later, Donna married Orville Woody in Honolulu, Hawaii. They shared 44 happy years together. Orville passed away in 2018.

She worked for many years at Indianapolis Bell, and later at Public Service of Indianapolis (Duke Energy), where she retired. Later, Donna went back to work as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Prestwick Reality.

For many years, Donna was a member of St. Suzanna’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority, a bridge club, and the local Elks Club.

Donna is survived by her children, Pam (Stan) Walton, Paula Rieger, Mark Miller (SanDee), Mike Miller (Julie), Patti Miller and stepson Brent Woody (Pamela); 6 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings Dede Eaton, Larry Weilhammer, and Kathy Nesbit; and several nephews

Besides her parents and husbands, Donna is preceded in death by stepson Tom Woody.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to The Alzheimer’s Association in Donna’s honor. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements: Flanner & Buchanan.

SHELBY LYNN CLARK

the precious baby girl of Casey and Kirsten (Wicker) Clark, was born into the arms of angels on July 3, 2021.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clark Home on Saturday, July 24, 2021 beginning at 4 p.m.

JAMES EDWARD “JIM” McNEELY

79, of Avon, passed away June 30, 2021. He was born in Jasonville, Indiana on September 12, 1941. Jim was a parishioner of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield.

He attended General Motors Institute and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. His postgraduate work included business law and marketing at Indiana University. Jim was a Coop student within the Allison Division of General Motors Corporation and held sales positions with Diamond Chain Company, Inc. He served as Membership Secretary and Acting Executive Vice President working along with his father-in-law, Earl Cox, at the Indiana Subcontractor’s Association. He then became President/Owner of Century Marble, Inc. for 10 years until his retirement in 1985.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Patricia; daughter Jane Eisele (Fritz), Avon; son Nick McNeely (Chris), Carmel; grandchildren Natalie, Timothy, Brian, and David Eisele; brothers William M. McNeely, Brownsburg, Michael McNeely, Greenwood, and Richard McNeely, Madison, Wisconsin; and 6 nieces and 5 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William H., and Ruby (Woods) McNeely, and brother Paul McNeely.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 10, at noon in St. Susanna Catholic Church (1210 E. Main St., Plainfield) with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Ind. Contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor (2345 W. 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46260).

SHARON WILSON (nee Wade)

age 74, of Avon, passed away in the early morning of January 14, 2021 at St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis. Her family surrounded her in love and prayer.

Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School and was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, NaNa, great-grandmother, and dearest friend.

Sharon was skillfully employed by Eli Lilly before dedicating herself as a stay-at-home mom for many years. Sharon happily devoted herself for over 25 years at Purdue Extension-Hendricks County Fairgrounds.

Sharon spent her retired years enjoying being a grandma, great-grandma and endless hours serving her community. She enjoyed vacations, cooking for others, quilting, and of course her weekend casino trips. Sharon cherished her weekend “getaways” with her sister. Anyone meeting Sharon would also soon learn of her love for Disney, Mickey Mouse and her bright red 1966 SS396 Chevelle.

Sharon was a member of Avon Christian Church. She was an active volunteer for the Pittsboro Police Department and all of Hendricks County. She could always be found supplying all the needs of the Souperhero Cook Off, Project ANGEL, Hospital blankets, toy drives, and more. Sharon would be the first to help in any given situation for any family of the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eileen (nee Dodd) and Robert Wade. She is survived by her daughters, Christi (Erica) Nichols-Patterson and Kim (Jon) Nething; grandchildren Taylor, Mikayla, Robert (Josey), Danielle, Allyson, Kimmie (Zach), and Eric; great grandchildren Gemma and Rylee; sister Joyce Smiley; brother Robert (Mary) Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was officially a mother of two but she played a very special motherly role for many.

She cared deeply for her family, friends, neighbors, and of course animals. Sharon will be remembered for her unconditional love, her faith, tireless will to serve others, and her spunky humor to fill the world with smiles and laughter.

A celebration of life will be held July 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds/Cartlidge Barn. In lieu of flowers, Sharon asks that monetary donations be made in her memory for scholarship funds so she can continue to support the youth and the future of our environment. Donations can be sent directly to the Hendricks County 4-H Fair Association, PO Box 7, Danville IN 46122.

LAWRENCE E. BOLLMAN

85, of Avon, was born July 3, 1935 and passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at his home of 53 years on Thursday June 24, 2021.

Larry was born to the late Lawrence Wilbur and Mary M. Faletic Bollman in Indianapolis. He graduated from Brownsburg High School and married the love of his life, Anna Margaret (Cloyd) Bollman, who preceded him in death in 2007.

Larry was in the Air Force and was very proud to serve his country.

Larry was a member of St Malachy Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus for many years. After retirement he served as a member of the Hendricks County Honor Guard and became a member of the Hendricks County Antique Tractor Machinery Association.

Lawrence was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather. He always took great care in the well being of his family and was incredibly proud of his family’s milestones and achievements no matter how great or small.

Larry has four surviving children: Jeff (LauraLee) Bollman, William “Bill” (Julie) Bollman, David (Janet) Bollman, and Susan Bollman (Andy Ruff); ten grandchildren: Caleb (Beth) Bollman, Amanda (Tim) Piatek, Billy Bollman, Jason (Jinayla) Bollman, Rudger Bollman, Josh (Victoria) Bollman, Emily Bollman-Gibson, Adam (Siana) Bollman, Hank Ruff and Anna Jones; nine great-grandchildren: Lilah, Bridger, Savannah-Margaret, Mason and Vinny, Lucas and Lane, Harper, and Ava.

He was close to, and dearly loved, his sister Angela Brown and brother Richard Bollman. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Lawrence Wilbur and Mary M Faletic Bollman, his loving wife Anna Margaret, (infant) daughter Laurie Anne, beloved sister Barbara Lyles, and nephew Travis Lyles.

Services were Wednesday, June 30, at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway, Indianapolis.

JON R. REEVES

84, of Plainfield, passed away on July 1, 2021 surrounded by loving family members in his home peacefully.

He was an United States Navy Reserves veteran.

Jon was the proud Co-Owner of Triangle Engineering Corporation which started in 1964.

He enjoyed golfing in his free time. Jon loved taking his 1929 Ford model A and 1950 Ford custom convertable to car shows. He had a pasion for motorcycles. Jon drove the 4 Corners Tour and even took his BMW Enduro motorcycle to the Artic Circle and back. He belonged to the Cushman Club of America.

Jon was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Max Reeves; sister, Barbara Swager.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 6, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his loving wife, Darlene Reeves; sons, Andrew (Joy), Scott (Missy), Steven (Teresa) and Dan (Vanessa) Reeves; daughter, Joni Reeves; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

FRANKIE LEE HENDERSON

age 74, Coatesville, passed away July 1, 2021.

Born November 5, 1946 in Martinsville, he was the son of Hershel Henderson and Cordia (Northern) Henderson. He married Gisela Sucker and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Rex) Rollo; grandchildren, Dominik Rollo, Hannah Rollor, and Fabian Mueller; siblings, Lauren Henderson, George Henderson, Marvin Henderson, and Margie Davis.

His parents and brothers, Thurman, Herley and Delbert Davis preceded him.

He loved his grandkids, golf cart rides, sprint car races. He was very loving and caring person.

There are no services scheduled, cremation will take place. Arrangements: Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville.

DARRELL E. FLEMING

63, of Lebanon, died Friday, July 2, 2021.

Darrell was born September 18, 1957, in Brownsburg, a son of Foster and Clara Ruth (Pretz) Fleming. He attended Lebanon High School. He worked as a truck driver for Conway for over 17 years, followed by Standard Forwarding.

He also enjoyed sports and riding his motorcycle. He was a proud member of Indiana NORML and a longtime member of Lebanon Eagles #2062.

Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Fleming and Katie Fleming; grandchildren, Dakota Walker, Fox Shen, Jace Jeffrey, and Jackson McKenzie; loving dog, Otis; and companion and friend, Laura Kinnaman.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Tracy Stewart-Fleming.

A Celebration of Life will tke place Friday, July 9, withvisitation from 4 p.m. until the service at 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.

MATTHEW CRAWLEY

passed away unexpectedly at the age of 41 on June 29, 2021.

He was a devoted brother, son, and uncle. He grew up loving sports and video games. He enjoyed playing soccer, and sports were his passion. He graduated from Ben Davis High school and attended culinary school, after serving his country in the Army.

He was a forever fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. He never missed an opportunity to be an uncle for his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his Mother, Linda Kay Carper (spouse: Russell Wishert), his father, David Crawley (spouse Linda Crawley); sister, Jennifer Latimore (spouse Kelly Latimore); niece, Adelyn Gates; nephews, Peyton, Kaden, and Jaxon; grandfather, Eugene Crawley.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Joan Crawley and grandparents, Pauline and Henry Carper.

JOHN RICHARD WILSON

78, of Avon, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Born February 4, 1943 in Terre Haute, Ind., he was the son of Richard and Irene (Yeley) Wilson and a graduate of Wiley High School of Terre Haute.

John was an accountant owning his own business for several years.

He is survived by his children, Andrew Wilson, Kathy Nacario (Paul), Charles “Chuck” Wilson (Sean), Peter Wilson, John Wilson (Teresa, Elizabeth Shah (Samir), and Holly Wilson; sisters, Rosemary Stringfellow and Suzanne Tabor; grandchildren, Austin & Trenton Wilson, Ava & Evan Wilson, Riley, Kasi, & Samir Shah, Brandon Nacario, and Katerina & Spencer Wilson.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Wilson.

A private family service will be held. Arrangements: Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

THOMAS O’BRIEN

85 of Avon, passed away June 27, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

Tommy was a modern day Celtic storyteller serving as a lawyer. His love of a good story probably helped form his love for the law. He believed everyone deserved due process, and due process always began with a story.

Between college stints he served in the US Air Force as a firefighter supporting training missions in southern Indiana.

Tommy lived a second life as a landscaper and pond specialist. He eventually became a master gardener and helped create a private bird-filled retreat from the world.

Earlier in life he spent many a year as an Ebenezer Scrooge bah-humbugging his way through the holidays. However, one day he was asked to be Santa, so, fake beard and all he became Santa. This turned into a yearly labor of love. Over the years he developed a following from repeat families and friends.

Tommy was born as Thomas Joseph O’Brien in Indianapolis, son of Thomas R. O’Brien and Beatrice (Keller) O’Brien. His surviving siblings are Beann (O’Brien) deHebreard, John (Jack) O’Brien, and James E. (Jim) O’Brien. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren all will miss his love and mischievousness.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, July 7, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville. Burial was in New Winchester Cemetery.

WILLIAM J. “BILL” RAPP

age 82, of Plainfield, passed away on June 29, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.

He was born on May 14, 1939 in Evansville, Ind. to the late James and Lucille Condit Rapp. He was a comptroller for ADT for 40-plus years before his retirement.

He proudly served the United States Marine Corps.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially college, Colts, and Pacers, working outdoors, gardening, wood working, cooking and redoing/tinkering with little projects.

He was a member of the St. Mark’s Episcopal in Plainfield. William was a wonderful, loving, generous, hardworking, caring and stubborn too.

Graveside services took place Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. (CST) in St. Joseph’s Cemetery 2500 Mesker Ave. Evansville, Ind. A celebration of life will be held in Plainfield at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Jane Stamper Rapp; children, Darcey Steel (John) and Devon Rapp; step-children, Kurt Flinchum (Ellen) and Kent Flinchum; brother, James Rapp; sister, Angela Rapp; grandchildren, Jacob Steel (Stephanie), William Steel (Allie) and Hayden Rapp (Elizabeth). He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Rapp Smith. SHIRLEY ANN (Kern) ADAMS

age 88, of Avon, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, with family by her side. She was born on Friday, April 21, 1933 to Louis Joseph and Mildred (Nosek) Kren, in North Judson, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by Louis Joseph and Mildred (Nosek) Kren, brother Thomas Kren.

She is survived by son John Michael (Rebecca) Adams, daughter Nancy Heater, 3 grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Miles, 1 great granddaughter on the way, and extended family and friends.

Indiana Memorial was honored to serve the Adams family.
