Clayton First Baptist Church Hosts 3rd Friday Cruise-Ins

Got an old/classic/special car or truck you like to show? Join the First Baptist Church of Clayton’s Cruise-In on the third Friday of each month weather permitting at 6:00 PM! No registration or reservation needed. Cars are parked around the Baptist church building in Clayton. Don’t have a car to show? Join us for the fellowship. “Trunken Treasuer” Rummage Sale at Mary Queen of Peace

Have you ever dreamed of finding sunken treasure?

Saturday, May 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mary Queen of Peace Catholic church in Danville is holding a “Trunken Treasure” Rummage sale. For $10 you can reserve a space in our parking lot to sell items from your trunk or a table.

Community Forum Series Set at Plainfield

Plainfield Friends Church in cooperation with the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce is offering a Community Forum series to keep all residents engaged and informed about many different aspects of the community – as well as some good entertainment!

We are very pleased to announce that our first Community Forum Night will be Tuesday, May 25, at 6:30 p.m. at PlainfieldFriends Church. Reann Poray and Sarah Wright of the Plainfield-Guilford Township Library will be speaking about “The History of Plainfield”, and Bill Clendineng will talk about the role of churches in the history of Plainfield.

Everyone is welcome to attend! Masks are encouraged, but not required at this event. The event will be held at 105 S. East St. in Plainfield.

Northview Clothes Closet Extends Hours

The Community Clothes Closet at Northview Christian Church, 623 N St. Rd. 29, Danville, announces new and extended hours beginning Saturday, May 1, 2021.

We are open the 1st and 3rd Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as the 3rd Thursday of each month, 5 to 7 p.m.

Our community has generously donated a lot of gently-used clothing - including newborn, 3-4X adult - and we want to share with those in need. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Registration Now Open For Leadership Development Series

The Leadership Development Series (LDS) is a series of half-day workshops designed to provide ongoing, interactive, and research-based professional development for Hendricks County citizens and surrounding areas. Brought to you by Leadership Hendricks County, workshops will take place at the Hendricks County 4H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex (1900 E. Main St, Danville, Ind.) from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Thursday, June 10: Leadership Roles - Led by Matt Nettleton of Sandler Training, you will learn about the four leadership roles, assess your skills, and how to be prepared to full these roles as you lead your team to success.

Thursday, August 12: Community Conversations - Facilitated by Eric Hessel, Hendricks County Community Foundation, and Susan Rozzi, Rozzi & Associates, LLC, this interactive session centers on how the county, as it continues to grow and change, remain a welcoming and inclusive community.

Friday, October 15: Conflict Management - Instructor Carolyn Goerner of Practical Paradigms, will help professionals manage change and resolve differences with win-win solutions.
