County Employees Honored For Years of Service

The Hendricks County Commissioners normally present employees with their continuous years of service awards during an in-person ceremony towards the beginning of each year. This year, due to the guidelines and restrictions imposed by COVID-19, the Commissioners were not able to present the 2020 awards to the recipients during a formal in-person ceremony. In lieu of the ceremony, Todd McCormack, Director for the Hendricks County Commissioners personally delivered the awards.

To be eligible for an award, a part-time or full-time employee must be continuously employed by Hendricks County Government for the specified number of years, with no breaks in their service. Awards were presented to employees who had completed five (5), ten (10), fifteen (15), twenty (20), twenty-five (25), or thirty (30) years of continuous service in 2020.

To recognize the recipients of the 2020 Hendricks County Government Employee Years of Service Awards, Commissioner Palmer read their names during the February 23, 2021 Commissioners’ Meeting and the Commissioners congratulated and expressed their appreciation to the recipients for their continued and dedicated service to Hendricks County. Their names will also be reflected in the Minutes from that Meeting.

With 28 departments, from Animal Control to Work Release, and over 600 employees, the County government is one of the largest employers in Hendricks County. The County employees have an impact on the lives of all Hendricks County residents. From keeping the county roads safe to promoting public health and disease prevention, providing recreation areas, services to Veterans, and ensuring the right to vote, the employees of Hendricks County work to make life better for all of its citizens.
