DECOREX 1 - 30 JUNE

This long weekend exhibition has been reimagined and configured into a month long event that takes design goers and craft lovers into the studios and workshops of the best professionals in Cape Town.

It’s a Design Takeover in the City Of Cape Town with curated Cape Town Design Trails, for all your décor and design needs. The Cape Town Design Trail will include product launches, unique in-store promotions, visits to concept stores, staged window displays, private art viewings, meet-and-greet sessions with designers, and exclusive networking functions and trend talks. The new trail gives participants one-on-one access to incredible showrooms and private maker spaces while flying the design banner for the industry and involving the city as a whole.

Dedicated routes and maps will guide visitors through the curated series of open studios. Stopping points along the trail include The Silo Hotel, Gorgeous George Hotel, The Norval Foundation, The Old Biscuit Mill, The WaterShed, The V&A Waterfront, The Palms, Haldane Martin, IMISO Ceramics, We Are EGG and scores of others. The event extends over four weekends to help visitors discover exhibitions and installations located at 100’s of participating sites.

Bookings are now open for scheduled events and accommodation. Fine dining establishments in town and along the Hemelen-Aarde Valley which is parallel to the bay and nestled between Klein Rivier mountain range and the Babylonstoren mountain range. In the town itself, between attending events, visiting galleries or taking a workshop, pay attention to the many artworks and sculptures installed in public spaces. They each tell a small story.
