Noordhoek Farm Village Cape Point Vineyards

We love Chapman’s Peak Drive and we are giving you 4 excuses to enjoy one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the world, over and over again.

This winding, long road, full of sharp turns, hanging between sky and ocean, on the edge of the cliff for so many kilometers, is always a thrill drive. It doesn’t matter how many times you took it or in which direction. Driving from Cape Town to the south of the peninsula or coming back from Cape Point to Hout Bay.

Then, after you’ve done so for the first time, a Capetonian will constantly seek for reasons to take this road again.

Luckily, there are many reasons and countless opportunities to head south.

MONKEY VALLEY

Just as you approach the end of the drive on the south end, the last turns give you an open panorama of a white stretch of sand which is Noordhoek Beach.

Monkey Valley Resort is located on the slopes of the drive, overlooking this magnificent view.

The resort is a collection of log cabins of different sizes, designed for a selfcatering stay for families and group of various sizes, all scattered over the slope with open view to the ocean on one hand and maximum privacy on the other, due to the beautifully planted and attended vegetation.

While the smaller cabins are popular with families and groups of friends, the Bed & Breakfast executive suites enjoy a demand from corporate, conference clients.

Thorfynn’s, the resort’s restaurant, opens its doors at 7 am – providing wholesome and healthy breakfasts, a fine selection of coffee and tea blends and a fantastic sea view in a natural setting.

After a hearty farmhouse breakfast on the restaurant deck overlooking the sea, one can wander straight down through the milkwood forest onto that spectacular 8 km stretch of soft sandy unspoiled beach with flamingos and seabirds in the

Thorfynn’s Restaurant is open every day all the time from 7 in the morning to 10 at night. Sheltered from the wind and set in a Milkwood forest, it is great for a full meal or just cocktails on the deck.

NOORDHOEK FARM VILLAGE

An open complex that surrounds a large lawn created by a unique mix of vendors and restaurants that creates a laid back environment, popular with locals and visitors.

Noordhoek Farm Village is home to a country pub, Franck Dangereux‘s culinary skills, the Cape’s best bakery, hand crafted ice cream, a super cute juice bar, a boutique hotel (with an underground bar!), live music weekly, a wide range of shops and a line of reputable, local restaurants including the award winning Foodbarn.

In addition, there is a weekly market on Wednesdays, from 16:00-20:00 and weather dependent.

A small, family friendly boutique hotel in the complex is perfect for an overnight stay full of activities and entertainment all in a short walk.

CAPE POINT VINEYARDS

When the first vines were planted, a short two decades ago, out and aside of any traditional Cape Winelands wine route, Capetonians waited with curiosity and patience for the outcome.

The owner’s decision to gamble on this one of a kind setting that enjoys cool sea breeze all year round, payed off very quickly with a long line of awards to their range of Sauvignon Blanc. You’ll find everything from young and crisp to aged and bold.

You can enjoy the wine as part of a wine tasting, book a table at one of the restaurants or pre-order a picnic for a few lazy hours on the lawn.

The restaurant serves a full, à la carte, South African menu. The Courtyard serves a variety of pizzas, burgers and fish & chips. The picnics have all the basics and a large choice of additional items to pick from with a vegetarian set too.

IMHOFF FARM

On the other end of Noordhoek Beach, you’ll find another mix use cluster with a very relaxed atmosphere.

The historic Werf (Dutch for farmyard), sensitively restored and rejuvenated, is the heart of the farm, offering a host of experiences, restaurants and shopping.

Imhoff Farm is one of the Cape Peninsula’s original farms (dating back to 1743) and its unique location, natural beauty and home to talented tenants.

The site holds restaurants, boutiques, delis and a wine shop, a few artisans studious and a charming bookshop.

Available experiences include action paintball and laser tag, Gearup 4x4 and horse riding, kids’ adventures like the Bisque-Bah- a ceramic painting studio, Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard with domestic farm animals and a Milkwood Maze. african abundance

After more than two decades, the all-African Cresta Hotel Group is back to set a footprint in Cape Town with the newly launched Cresta Grande.

The group holds a mix of properties under a range of themes in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is a mix of nature resorts, urban resorts which are usually located on the outskirts of large metropoles and urban African luxury hotels in the heart of financial centers.

This kind of mix, over their 17 properties, caters for the many current travel needs of the continents’ professionals and their families to be served with the same ethos across all their tourism and leisure needs, year round.

The Cresta service pillars, all driving out of the groups’ African roots, are of unassuming, humility, African gestures and abundance in all, from space to amenities, from food to extra perks for loyal clients.

It is about bringing the African hearth and tradition, the culture of togetherness into the world of travel and leisure.

You can expect service to be joyful, always ready to attend and assist.

Cresta Grande Cape Town holds a few firsts for the group. It is the first property to combine both business and holiday needs.

It is the first to serve both day and overnight visitors. It is also the first to be located in South Africa.

The hotel has 242 stylish bedrooms, a series of conference and banqueting rooms, a 24-hour café, bar and lounge, gymnasium, sauna and steam room, covered and access-controlled parking area and outdoor swimming pool with sundeck.

The “African Roots” experience equates to great value and service, at a hotel in a key location. Cresta hotels offer modern facilities to keep you connected with the world for work, but the tranquil surroundings ensure you remain relaxed.

It is situated at the corner of Loop and Strand streets, close to the commercial center of Cape Town, as well as a range of visitor attractions, including the worldfamous V&A Waterfront.

Strand Street was originally the first street of the city along the shoreline, but reclamation over the past century or so created the waterfront area further off.

In addition to being close to so many commercial and tourist sites, Cresta Grande has superb views of Signal Hill, Table Mountain and across the city, and is not only conveniently sited but also uniquely placed to give both scenic enjoyment and convenience to guests.

The tourism industry, led by Cape Town Tourism is welcoming the Cresta Group and is very pleased with the reassurance and vote of confidence in the future of tourism in both Cape Town and South Africa.

It is evident that strong and established hotel brands see a bright upcoming in this area.

Being spread across Southern Africa for a few decades, the Cresta Group formed a long standing alliance with Cardinal Air for the comfort and benefit of both their crew and their clients.

Cardinal Air Services operate out of Lanseria International Airport north of Johannesburg, flying to any private or public airport.

They have their own fleet of airplanes and helicopters, as well as collaborations with other airlines. This gives them the ability to provide for anything between 1 to 400 passengers, with a range of needs.

From discreet and private, to corporate and homey, Cardinal Air Services reputable name is the outcome of satisfaction from each and every client.
