HELLA¨New Zealand Limited For nearly 45 years HELLA New Zealand has adopted the entrepreneurial spirit of its founders and developed into a LED lighting technology company with comprehensive in-house design and manufacturing capabilities. HELLA-New Zealand Limited was founded in 1973 to manufacture, market and distribute automotive products within New Zealand. Today the company designs and manufactures innovative lighting products across two sites in Auckland and Waihi for the global commercial transport, automotive and marine industries. Dedicated in-house product, electronic and optical design engineers utilise cutting edge materials to develop innovative, ultra-reliable and energy efficient products using the latest LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology. The Auckland facilities have been occupied since 1980 covering some 7500m2 and providing state of the art highly automated manufacturing capabilities. The Waihi electronics plant, purpose built in 2007, boasts the latest automated assembly systems that place 70,000 LEDs daily onto circuit boards. In 2004 HELLA New Zealand became the global headquarters for Hella marine further strengthening HELLA’s presence in New Zealand. HELLA New Zealand is a respected partner and supplier of choice for automotive manufacturers and commercial transport fleets in New Zealand and around the world.
