2020 has certainly been an interesting year. It is essential that we work together to protect ourselves, our coworkers, and our families by making responsible decisions both on and off the job. While we continue to work through the challenges associated with the ongoing pandemic, we must remember that the hazards that existed before still exist. Our job sites are dynamic and ever-changing places where we face a variety of hazards. We must continue to take the steps necessary to plan our activities, including doing thorough Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) for each task that we perform. Think through your activity, create a plan, and follow the plan. If things change, such as new trades moving into the work area, deciding to use different methods such as a ladder or lift, or if additional people join the activity, review and update the PTP as necessary to include new hazards and to brief new crew members. Remember to look out for one another and work together to keep each other safe.
