HELLO AND WELCOME TO TODAY'S DIGITAL MATCHDAY PROGRAMME AHEAD OF OUR SHEFFIELD FIXTURE.
It was a bitty game against Stockton - I was disappointed with losing. We can't give players of Stockton's quality the amount of space they had for the goals. We spoke about it before the game but for the first 15 minutes, we sat off the danger players. The start wasn't great - it was a good finish but we could've affected the ball quicker. For the second goal, we let the lad run 40-yards with ball and we've just opened up to give him a shot at Shaun Newbrook. Kevin Hayes is a top player - he didn't do much all night, but if you give him them chances then he'll bury them. Overall it's disappointing, but on the flip side it's the best performance we've had so far. That game won't define our season it's now a test of where we stand mentally and how quickly we can bounce back. We finished with a very young side but that's something we pride ourselves on, and we want to push forward now. We're expecting a good test this afternoon against Sheffield. We know their manager Ryan Cresswell - towards the end of last season, they were causing teams problems. We need to put the Stockton defeat to bed, we can't have it roll over into today. We need to put a performance on and win. That's the most important thing getting back in that winning mentality and getting three points.
