 
3rd Annual Compassion Cup September 11, 2017 Raising Funds For the Ministries of Orphan Care Alliance

Orphan Care Alliance places a high value on leading the way to equip Christians and connect them to opportunities to care for the fatherless in the state of Kentucky with excellence, persistence, honesty, 7lexibility and transparency. We are excited to invite you to join us on this mission as a local business owner! On September 11, OCA will be hosting the 3rd Annual Compassion Cup. This golf scramble will raise funds for OCA Pathways, a new ministry that will care for our community’s youth and young adults. Through OCA Pathways, employers have the opportunity to offer young men and women, along with vulnerable families, opportunities to change the trajectory of their life with meaningful employment. Providing sustainability to these young adults and families, we will make a difference in our community, one career placement at a time. Through Pathways, local business owners will provide a hand up in the world through longterm employment. Employees will be equipped with Life Coaches, career coaches and Ginancial advisers to help with sustainability within their job placement. We hope that you will prayerfully consider gol7ing with us or becoming a sponsor to help this ministry get off the ground to start impacting families and young adults in a way, never before done by OCA.
About Orphan Care Alliance Simply put, James 1:27 describes pure and faultless religion as caring for orphans and widows. We desire to see every child in Kentucky and southern Indiana to know the love of a family. We believe the Church has a special call to lead these efforts. When an individual is unable to adopt or foster, OCA provides alternative opportunities to engage in orphan care. OCA’s vision is for the Body of Christ to lead the efforts of caring for the fatherless in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Our mission is to equip Christians and connect them to opportunities to care for the fatherless. Our goals at OCA are to: • Keep children with the biological parents whenever possible • Assist families and children in our community with education, support, goods and prayer • Walk alongside youth aging out of the state’s care and help with their transition into adulthood • Display the love of Christ while serving families and children in all we do • Lead young adults and vulnerable families to care and provide for themselves OCA impacts the state by: • Advocating in local churches and the community to grow orphan care ministries • Partnering with national organizations with events to promote orphan care • Educating Christians about the needs and opportunities to care for the fatherless locally • Growing programs to preserve families experiencing hardship • Providing resources to families caring for the fatherless • Providing Ginancial support to adoptive families through grants and loans • Working with businesses to provide job opportunities to those aging out of state care
