OCA invites employers to join us in offering young men and women, along with vulnerable families, opportunities to change their life trajectory with meaningful employment. Providing sustainability to vulnerable families and young adults impacted by the foster care system, we will make a difference in our community, one career placement at a time. With OCA Pathways local business owners will employ youth and young adults to provide a hand up in the world. Employees will be equipped with Life Coaches, career coaches and Binancial advisers.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Objective
Orphan Care Alliance serves vulnerable families and youth in Kentucky and southern Indiana. OCA Pathways works alongside the OCA general mission by providing employment opportunities to vulnerable families as well as youth and young adults aging out of the foster care system. There are 2 objectives in the creation of OCA Pathways: 1. To create sustainability for vulnerable families and young men and women aging out of foster care by equipping them to provide for themselves and their families. 2. To create ministry sustainability and growth throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana in pursuit of our vision for the Body of Christ to lead the way of caring for vulnerable families and fatherless children.
Expanded Care As OCA Pathways grows, this cause based nonprofit employment agency will provide a means for our audience to provide for his or her family and oneself. OCA Pathways expands the care beyond the current ministries of OCA: 1. OCA Life Coaching serves youth in foster care by equipping Christians and connecting them to care for youth as life coaches. 2. OCA Families equips Christians to build relationships with families in crisis. Host families and Life Coaches care for parents and their children to prevent foster care placements. 3. OCA Pathways will provide ways for families and young adults to attain careers to sustain themselves and/or their families.
Training & Coaching By partnering with local missions minded businesses, OCA Pathways will solve basic problems that face families and young adults. OCA Pathways will collaborate with other training and trades organizations, helping each employee with individualized support and coaching not found in other employment agencies.

OCA will provide each employee with a Life Coach, career coach and financial advisers to help them achieve longterm goals • OCA may also provide transitional housing, transportation, or childcare solutions for employees in efforts to stabilize and support them as they begin working full or part time • Employers will know that the revenue from OCA Pathways will be used to support more families and children through the various outreach ministries of OCA Families and Life Coaching.
