Acknowledging.... Lyndhurst Primary School

The students of years 5 and 6 at Lyndhurst Primary School took part in a real life learning exercise based around planning, budgeting and running a fun fair for the rest of the school. The money raised from the fun fair was split between the bike education program at the school and a selected charity. HeartKids was chosen as the preferred charity after a presentation by Mickaila Sibberas to the rest of the students about her brother, Daniel, who is a heart child, and how HeartKids is a charity with a personal impact for her. Her presentation was heartfelt, knowledgeable and told the kids how lucky they are and how much they could do for those who deal with these medical issues on a daily basis. t of $500. Going, Going, Gone Goatee

“I have now had my goatee for 7.5 years and I always said I would shave my goatee for a charity’. When Deon Mackay’s daughter Shelby-Anne was six months old, she was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Disease called Scimitar Syndrome. Deon subsequently chose HeartKids to be the beneficiary of his fundraiser.

The fundraiser went really well and thanks to many supporters raised $3345 for HeartKids (including $300 from Shelby-Anne’s birthday).

Madeline’s First Birthday Madeline Park recently celebrated her first birthday, Madeline’s family collected some money in lieu of gifts, donating $150 to HeartKids.

Birdman Rally Jesse Boyle participated in the Birdman Rally at Moomba on 10th March dressed as a super hero. Jesse used the opportunity to raise funds for HeartKids, a cause close to his heart as his fiance Ashlee London is a heart kid. He raised over $900!
