CONNECT: Local Hearths to a Global Network

A hyperlocal cottage economy embedded in a global, digital village

Our most ambitious initiative, we'll deploy information era technology to create a platform that connects the homemade goods and services provided by home-based makers with their local communities.

Based on informal surveys, nearly everyone we talk to wants access to local and reasonably priced produce and eggs, homemade meals and high-quality child, critter or elder care. We believe demand will quickly outgrow supply so this initiative must work in tandem with our Earn initiative.

We imagine a Hearth Hub platform that connects people who belong to decentralized autonomous hubs of approximately 150 people, with each other and with other hubs worldwide creating a vibrant global tapestry of local hearths and reigniting the entrepreneurial spirt of the cottage economy.
