Living Life According to You at EverTrue Meridian Village

At EverTrue Meridian Village, we understand that everyone’s journey is unique. That’s why we believe in empowering you to live life on your terms. Whether you’re looking for a vibrant community, wellness opportunities or simply a place where you can enjoy life as you choose, EverTrue Meridian Village is here to help you thrive.

Take Jim Hazzard, for example. His story is a perfect reflection of how Life According to You can truly transform your life. Jim’s journey to Meridian Village started when his mother-in-law moved into the community in 2009. Through helping her transition, Jim got to know the team members and residents, and quickly became familiar with the welcoming atmosphere of the community. It wasn’t long before he realized that this was a place where he could imagine himself living in the future.

When Jim’s wife passed away, he decided it was time to make a change. “I wasn’t ready to take care of my house alone,” he says. After joining the waitlist, Jim began participating in community meals and getting to know the residents at EverTrue Meridian Village. By the time he finally made the decision to move in, he was already comfortable with the community. “I pretty much knew right away that I wanted to live here,” Jim explains. “We had done a lot of research, and I feel secure here. It’s very homey.”

Now, as he approaches his fourth anniversary at EverTrue Meridian Village, Jim has never been happier with his decision. Moving to a new place wasn’t just about finding a home; it was about gaining a new sense of purpose and belonging. One of the most surprising aspects of Jim’s life at EverTrue Meridian Village has been how much he enjoys the community’s amenities.

“I can’t believe how happy I am and how much I look forward to using the pool,” he says. For Jim, the pool has become an essential part of his routine, supporting both his physical health and overall sense of well-being.

But the pool isn’t the only source of joy in Jim’s life. He’s also discovered a love for water volleyball, which has become as important to him as golf used to be. “Water volleyball has taken on almost as much importance as golf used to be for me,” Jim shares. “I’m probably one of the healthiest 84-year-olds around. My age is in my head, not my body!” The exercise keeps him active, while the laughter and camaraderie with fellow residents bring a sense of connection and community.

When Jim moved to Meridian Village, he downsized his living space, but in many ways, his life has expanded. “I have more friends now,” he says. “I can come and go, and I always have a warm dinner.” His move has given him new opportunities to socialize, explore new activities and build meaningful relationships.

At EverTrue Meridian Village, Jim has found more than just a place to live. He’s found a community that supports his journey of Living Life to the Fullest.

Life According to You is about living on your terms— whether that’s staying active, building friendships, or enjoying a warm dinner every night. It’s about finding joy, health, and purpose wherever you are.

Explore what Life According to You looks like at EverTrue Meridian Village—where we’re committed to helping you live life on your terms. Whether you’re seeking a vibrant community, wellness opportunities, or simply a place to call home, we’re here to support you.
