Thanks to the RM-2 motorway, Hacienda del Álamo is just a short drive from Murcia and Cartagena. A perfect distance from the beaches, which you can enjoy every day, but with the convenience of living in a tranquil place all year round. Very soon, the AVE high speed train will take you to Madrid in just two hours. And the airports? If you like to play golf, you will fall in love with Hacienda del Álamo. You will find that golf here is not just a sport. It is a milieu with beautiful scenery. It is a way to make new friends. And best of all, you play golf whilst taking in the fresh air of the rolling green countryside throughout the resort.
The golf course at Hacienda del Álamo is masterly, thanks to the painstaking work of Dave Thomas, who had all the land he could want to design it, with this idea in mind. Ther are no limits. That is to say, first we made the “dream” field, with no restrictions on space, as if nothing else existed. And then, we used the same criteria with the properties: just enough of them so that the resort would have plenty of breathing room with broad open spaces. For this reason, our golf course is one of the best in Europe. The golf course measures 92 hectares. It is wide, with long holes, spacious, and with many lakes. It is very soft, because it is built on natural terrain. At the same time, it has some very well planned obstacles. Its 6.700 metres (7400 yards) take some five hours to play, and there are tee-offs every ten minutes, even on very busy days. There is no such thing as a “slow game” You can enjoy the course at your leisure, without hurrying. It is incredible how fast people get used to this pace of life.

We all remember a great teacher. And any of the instructors at Hacienda del Álamo could be one of them. You have the opportunity to learn, or simply to perfect your swing with real professionals. Our academy is modern inside and out. Ther are 36 drive boxes, and no less than 6 practice holes of par 3 and 4, plus two putting greens and bunkers. Instruction comes with high-tech support like the “Swing Analysis” , which uses several digital video cameras to ensure that you make rapid progress. If it is true that the better you playy, the better you feel, then you are going to be walking on air in no time at all.
