Hwa Chong Chinese Orchestra 华侨中学(高中部)华乐团
成立于1974年，华中高中部华乐团至今已走过48年的光辉岁月，是阵容强大， 实力雄厚的华乐团。多年来，华中华乐团栽培出了一批优秀的华乐爱好者。在 指挥魏砚铭教授的培养与教导下，技巧精湛、风格鲜明的华中华乐团在新加坡 青年节汇演中屡获最高荣誉。此外，华中华乐团也积极参与社会活动。乐团经 常受邀在社区庆典与晚宴上演出并多次出国进行交流学习，进一步完善与提高 团员的音乐知识和演奏技巧，对推广和普及我国的华乐和华族文化做出了一定 的贡献。 自1982年起，华中华乐团每两年会定期举办音乐会《天籁回音》，乐迷反应热 烈，好品如潮。本着精益求精的精神，华乐团一直在尝试不同风格的曲目，不 仅丰富我们的表演，也把华乐的多面性展现得淋漓尽致。由于今年是特殊的一 年，本次音乐会在新冠疫情期间举行，因此我们把音乐会的主题定为“幕夜繁 星”， 寓意只要心存希望，黑夜终将逝去。借此，我们希望那充满灵韵的乐章 能把正能量传递给大家，一起感受生命中的圆融和美好。 Established in 1974, the Hwa Chong Chinese Orchestra (HCCO) continues to contribute and participate extensively in the local Chinese music scene. Under the baton of Professor Wei Yanming, HCCO has consistently excelled at the biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF). A regular at various community celebrations and events, HCCO also often takes part in overseas exchange programmes to further improve our musicality and to spread our love for music far beyond our borders. In 1982, HCCO took a bold step forward and organised our own inaugural concert, themed "Heavenly Echoes". It received enthusiastic audience responses and has since become a biennial performance, one of our proudest traditions yet. Each year, HCCO strives to establish new frontiers by challenging the notion that a Chinese Orchestra must be traditional while staying within our own cultural roots. We explore and touch on different genres of music, ranging from pop songs to classical music, so do look forward to them!
CONDUCTOR | 1 June 2022
出生于天津，魏砚铭曾担任 天津音乐学院副教授。现任天津 音乐学院、天津师范大学客席教 授，新加坡南洋艺术学院高级讲 师，新加坡扬琴学会主席，以及 多所新加坡学校华乐团的指挥。
在魏教授的专业指导下，华 中高中部华乐团在新加坡全国青 年节华乐比赛(SYF)中荣获金奖， 也屡次获得第一名与荣誉金的佳 绩。

魏教授同时也是一名作曲家及 编曲家。他为学生华乐团作曲的 《悲歌》《梦境南洋》《童谣》等 Professor Wei Yanming 均在青年艺术节比赛, 中获取金 Conductor 奖。他编写的合奏曲《拉挲挲秧》 曾作为新加坡，港澳，中国及马来西亚等乐团的演奏曲目。魏教授的 成就全部收录于《中国专家人名辞典》。
Born in Tianjin, Professor Wei Yanming was previously the Associate Professor of Tianjin Conservatory of Music. He is currently the Visiting Professor of the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Tianjin Normal University, as well as the Guest Speaker at NAFA. He is also the Chairman of the Singapore Yang Qin Society, in addition to being the conductor in many Chinese Orchestras in Singapore. Under the professional guidance of Professor Wei, Hwa Chong Chinese Orchestra (College) has accumulated numerous gold awards at the biennial SYF Arts Presentation. Other than conducting, Professor Wei is also a composer. He composed multiple pieces for local schools which had achieved the gold awards as well. Moreover, pieces which he composed were also used in concerts by national orchestras such as the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.

刘老师从中国音乐学院毕业，现任 新加坡琵琶学会的主席。 Ms Liu graduated from the China Conservatory of Music and is currently the President of the Singapore Pipa Society.

王老师从西安音乐学院毕业，拥有 民间音乐学士学位，现任南洋艺术 学院教授。 Mr Wang graduated from the Xi'an Conservatory of Music with a bachelor's degree in Folk Music and is currently a professor in the School of Music of NAFA.

Zeng Zhi Guanyue Instructor
Mr Zeng graduated from the China Conservatory of Music, specialising in the Dizi and Xiao. He is currently an instructor for Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra.

SOLOIST | 1 June 2022
Yong Jun started learning the Yangqin from the young age of six at the NAFA School of Young Talents. She participated in the 2014 and 2016 National Chinese Music Competition and attained 3rd and 2nd prize respectively. In 2018, she completed the Grade 9 Central Conservatory of Music exam.

more familiar with the Yangqin and she started finding joy in playing it. Music helps her to relax and expresses her emotions. Today, she is grateful for all who have supported her on her enriching journey.
睿臻从六岁开始在南洋艺术学院学习扬琴。她曾参加了2014年 和2016年的新加坡全国华乐比赛，并分别获得了三等奖和二等 奖。她也在2018年以优异的成绩完成了中央音乐学院第九级的 考试。 最初，睿臻发现学习扬琴的过程过于枯燥无味。不过，通过不 懈的努力，加上对乐器越来越高的熟练度，她迅速地调整了心 态。她不仅掌握了弹奏扬琴的技巧，也从演奏扬琴中找到了乐 趣。从此，玩音乐成为她释放情绪、减轻压力的方法。借此机 会，她想对一路以来支持她的人表示感谢。
