70th Annual Home, Garden & Remodeling Show, presented by Champion and powered by LG&E set for March 2-4 At 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, visitors will walk through the doors of the 2018 Home, Garden & Remodeling Show and make history as the show kicks off its 70th year. Prior to their arrival, hundreds of people, companies and staff will have contributed thousands of hours to what promises to be the most exciting show in seven decades. Presented by Champion Windows and powered by LG&E, the show is designed to educate and inform, inspire and motivate, and yes, entertain! More than 350 vendors will be on hand with the latest products and services. There will be surprises in every aisle and around every corner. The Home, Garden & Remodeling Show says goodbye to winter and gives a hearty welcome to spring. It’s where conversations with experts lead to picture book homes and backyards, old friends gather and new friends are made. Champion Windows returns for its second year as Presenting Sponsor and numerous years as an exhibitor. Andy Wimsatt says the show typically produces between 150 and 200 appointments for his company each year, making it an extremely valuable sales and marketing tool. “Having the honor of being the presenting sponsor is a tremendous branding tool. At the show, its hard to walk around without seeing Champion multiple times, as we are the bag sponsor as well. While the layout of our booth has not yet been finalized, it will definitely be welcoming and feature a wide range of Champion products,” he says. Celebrities such as jockey Pat Day, meteorologist Jay Cardosi, and radio personality, Gary Sullivan, were featured celebrities in Champion’s booth 20

last year. What is certain is that the exhibit will tell the story of Champion’s selection of windows, doors, siding, roofing and sunrooms. LG&E is reprising its role as the Show’s “Powered By” sponsor. Liz Pratt says of her company’s participation, “The Louisville Home, Garden and Remodeling Show is a wonderful annual event that inspires new and creative ideas for home remodeling and design. As a longtime sponsor, it’s a great venue where we can connect with our customers and attendees to answer their energy-related questions and offer more information about our customer programs and important services to consider before starting new projects at home.” Kevin Gray, President of ADC Paving, considers the show a jump start to the spring season and a major brand recognition boost to his business. Having participated for four years, he adds, “There’s a great crowd every year, and people are engaged and interested. I like being out in the public and talking about the company, our business and the BIA.” ADC Paving tracks all of the leads from the show, resulting in 10 to 20 percent of the company’s annual sales. He plans to again present a display that allows visitors to visualize how a road or driveway is constructed of a dirt sub base, a stone layer and an asphalt layer. Stansbury Electric President, Bruce Stansbury, credits the Home, Garden & Remodeling Show not only with producing immediate results for his business, but also for increasing name recognition that will pay off long after the show is concluded.
