With campuses conveniently located in Gates Mills, Lyndhurst and University Circle, our facilities can accommodate the needs of groups of all sizes and ages and can be used to help create successful events that your attendees will find meaningful, fun and memorable.
Located on County Line Road, Hawkenâ€™s Gates Mills campus is situated on 300 stunning wooded acres. A new building includes a 650-seat auditorium, updated class and conference rooms, common spaces and dedicated studios for art, dance and photography. There is also a media arts center and a fabrication lab. The Gates Mills campus has a state-of-the-art athletic complex that includes two gymnasiums, a competitive swimming pool, a weight room and a wrestling room. Surrounding grounds include eight tennis courts, a stadium, a track, an outdoor challenge course and numerous grass and artificial turf fields.
Conference and Meeting Rooms
Hawkenâ€™s new Stirn Hall is loaded with fresh, new spaces featuring interactive projection and Apple TVs. All rooms have a gigabit network and built-in sound. With conference rooms that can accommodate meetings of all sizes with break out rooms and a wide variety of large common spaces, your corporate event will take on new life at Hawken.
Ropes Challenge Course
The Schneider Family Challenge Course creates opportunities for teamwork and community building through multiple high elements. A pole-based course with 15 separate challenges, it can accommodate over 25 active climbers. Our belay staff is trained in safety protocols, creating an intergenerational experience where people of all ages work together to overcome challenges and have a great time.
For over 50 years, the White House has provided a venue for weddings, parties, presentations and social gatherings while serving as the primary dining facility at Hawkenâ€™s Gates Mills campus. With its rich wood interiors, high-end finishes, coiffured ceilings, and beautiful outdoor spaces, the iconic White House is a stunning reminder of Hawkenâ€™s historic charm. Recent renovations were designed to accommodate larger groups while maintaining the historical integrity and splendor of the original building. Boasting nearly 3,200 square feet, the White House has a capacity of 160 people and boasts a large kitchen and serving area designed to suit your special event needs. Catering services may be arranged.
The Sally & Bob Gries Center, located in the historic Mather House, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to accommodate a variety of groups and activities. Whether you need space for a meeting or seminar or are planning a reception, party, shower or wedding, the Gries Centerâ€™s historic beauty creates the perfect environment for your event.
The Living Room is a beautiful space to hold a meeting or party, with warm wood accents, a working gas fireplace, window seats and pocket doors that can provide privacy. The room has a projection screen, sound system, tablet dock, laptop connection, and moveable white boards and can accomodate 30 (conference or class) to 60 (auditorium-style seating).
The Dining Room is furnished with a large conference table that can seat up to 14. It has a large television with laptop USB for use with presentations. There is no charge for use of the Dining Room when used for food service in conjunction with use of the Living Room and/or Loggia.
The Loggia is a lovely, open place, ideal for a meeting or other gathering. With its baby grand piano and wonderful acoustics, it is the perfect space for a party.
The Gries kitchen is a catererâ€™s kitchen with commercial refrigerator and warming oven. There is no freezer, and no ice is available. If you plan to serve a meal, all serving ware, plates, silverware, glasses, etc. must be provided.
These rooms are spacious and comfortable, accommodating between 20 and 30 at classroom tables. Each room is complete with projector, computer connection and sound.
Wireless Internet is available throughout the Gries Center.
Hawkenâ€™s Lyndhurst Campus occupies 45 acres on Clubside Road in a scenic residential neighborhood. Conveniently located just minutes from Legacy Village, Beachwood Mall and Interstate 271, Hawkenâ€™s Lyndhurst Campus provides options children, adults, businesses and families. Facilities include a new Early Childhood Center; well-equipped science labs; dedicated art and music rooms; a chapel; three gymnasiums; a swimming pool; tennis courts; a running track; fields for baseball, football, soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse; and an Eco Garden.
