This issue we have an exclusive interview with Essex singer Pete Brame, who appeared on Fame Academy. He speaks with us about what he’s been up to in recent years and what the future holds. Adam Sheekey tells us why keeping healthy this summer is so important and shares his top tips for feeling good, plus we investigate what’s happening at Raphael’s Park during its refurbishment. musical map into the unknown. What did you learn from your experiences on Fame Academy? I learnt a lot, how to cope under pressure – and how not to. It was the start of an amazing journey, through the woods and out into the clearing. What I’ve learned is that we’ve all got to try try TRY for the things and people we really want in life. How has your career progressed since then? Since Fame Academy, I’ve played in numerous bands including Pete Brame and The Dolls, One Finger Zen, The Pete n Joe Show and of course Broken Eyes. For a moment, I contemplate buying the ring for myself just because – but can’t quite justify it and

frankly it’s a bit weird. After mulling over everything whilst watching the gorgeous sashimi going around and around the conveyor belt, I realise it’s not the ring I’m after. It’s what it represents. A commitment with the person I love and who loves me unequivocally.

That’s what makes ‘the engagement’ so exciting. Imagine what it’ll be like with Mr. Right, imperfections and all. For now, the ring will have to wait. I think it’s worth it, holding out for the real deal. So for tonight, I raise my glass to each and every “Bridget” out there and congratulate us all for holding out for “the one” and not just “anyone”.
