Formal Pencil Still Life Drawings

Artwork for “Drawing and Sketching” class Skills of transforming a three dimensional setting into a 2-D plane. Demonstrating the understanding of fundamental illustration and design drawing abilities.

The ability to turn a three dimensional setting into something that can be reproduced and manipulated is vital in my creative process. Recreating something already familiar, then adding new perspective to the work .

In this case; unique shadow technique was used to inspire thought and creativity.

Orienting the angles and proportions of the scene first. Creating direction and guidance for the rest of the creative process. From this blueprint, the familiarities of the scene can be added; textures, shades, value. From here, the creative process can be unraveled.
