Firstly, plug in the Linksys Wireless USB adapter into an open USB port on your Mac.

Next, open the Network System Preference to check if the adapter has been recognized by the system as a new network hardware.
Now, click on the Plus button on the lower-left of the window. The adapter will now appear as a network port option.
Now, go to the Linksys Support Website. If the adapter does not appear in the list of available options, then download the driver for the adapter version. Then, install the driver and restart your Mac.

Now, add the Linksys Adapter as an active internet connection by clicking on the adapter and click on Create.
Click on the Linksys adapter on the left-side of the window. This will display the status information of the adapter on the right-side of the window. The adapter will automatically find all the available wireless networks in the area.

Select the right one from Network Name in the drop-down menu.

Lastly, configure the wireless connection and if necessary; click on the Advanced button. A majority of the wireless networks will connect automatically with the adapter and configure the connection.
