u¥ This course teaches the construction worker how to read the different parts of blueprints. Topics include site work; architectural plans including elevations, section and schedules; structural plans; mechanical drawings including plumbing, heating, and air conditioning; and electrical work on power, lighting, and controls. In this hands-on, performance-based training program, the participant will learn the electric and electronic controls used in connection with mechanical systems and gain a working knowledge of the basic concepts of electricity. Forklift Certification Training
This course includes types of estimates and estimating procedures; types of construction drawings; specifications that include state and local building codes; calculating and processing bids, quotes, and contracts; and a review of math associated with estimating. For textured walls, you will first need to follow the procedures to repair the wall, then you can use texturing techniques to match the existing wall surface. For plaster walls, many of the techniques listed here can also be used to repair plaster cracks and holes. This is an 8-hour course. In-person instruction.

Heating Systems This course will focus on gas-fired and oil-fired warm air furnaces and cover the three methods of heat transfer, combustion, types of fuel used, and more. Under supervision, students will monitor and measure manifold pressure on a gas furnace, identify major components on different types of furnaces, and learn cleaning and filter replacement.
