Win the Money Game Imagine learning the most critical money lessons you need to know to enjoy your life in a fun, engaging, and entertaining way! In this class, you will learn different principles, habits, concepts, ideas, and beliefs involved with money and creating wealth for yourself, just by playing a GAME.

Tennis Camp for Boys and Girls

The Money Game, the financial education program where the players are the pieces and the lessons last a lifetime! Join us as we partner with APG Federal Credit Union and learn how easy it really is to Win! Tuition: $75 Fee: $10

Emphasis will be placed on learning and using all strokes: forehand, backhand, ground stroke, volleying and overhead serves. The last day will stress match play and games. HCC men's and women's tennis coach, George Budelis, will conduct the camps. George's teams have won the Region XX Championship for six consecutive seasons and he has taken teams to the national championships in four of those years. Campers must supply their own rackets. SAFETY Babysitter Boot Camp Learn the responsibilities of babysitting in just one week! This course teaches valuable skills such as care and entertainment of the young child and marketing yourself as a babysitter. Students will earn First Aid and CPR certification. By Maryland law, a babysitter must be 13 years old unless an adult is present. Tuition includes text, booklets, and certification cards. Students MUST be present at all classes. SPORTS Golf Camp for Boys and Girls This camp is designed for kids, ages 8-14, with little or no previous golf experience. This week-long instructional clinic at Ruggles Golf Course helps participants develop the basics of the golf swing and introduces them to the rules, etiquette, and history of the game. Campers are encouraged to bring their own golf clubs and a water bottle. Tuition: $45 Fee: $113

TECHNOLOGY Advanced Robotics with Mindstorm

Are you familiar with the basics of LEGOÂŽ Mindstorms? Then this class is for you! Working in teams, students will move up to more elaborate robots and programming while learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the robotics context. Dissecting Computer Technology Sure, you know how to use your computer, but do you know how it works? What is an I/O port? What is a motherboard? How does the memory work with the hard drive? You'll take a working computer apart, examine the pieces, and put it back together! Will it still work? Explore the evolution of personal computing and what tomorrow may hold for technology. Intermediate Engineering and Robotics Engineering technology is a great way to introduce a budding young scientific mind to the future of a high-technology world! Robotics with Mindstorm Do you know what a robot is capable of doing? Get ready to take control! You will build robots, program them to accomplish tasks, respond to external stimuli, and overcome challenges. Using the NXT brick from LEGOÂŽ you will control the robot with NXT programming language and software programming techniques. Experience the challenges of navigation, avoiding and climbing over obstacles, and moving objects.
