A 2017 report by the American Trucking Association said that this industry needs to hire almost 900,000 more drivers to meet the rising demand. Harford Community College partners with Cecil College to offer one of the few, exclusive Commercial Truck Driver training programs in the country certified by the Professional Truck Drivers Institute (PTDI). PTDI certification means that your training meets industry-leading standards for the highest quality driver training, professionalism, and safety. You can complete your Class A license to drive the “big rigs," or complete your Class B license to drive straight trucks like box trucks, dump trucks, or cement mixers.
