Munkey Munchies: Brooklyn Chop House

By David Hernandez

High and welcome back to the latest installment of Munkey Munchies! This month’s pick is in celebration of Black Excellence and decadent top-notch Munchies, I am talking about none other than The Brooklyn Chop House! Situated just a stone’s throw away from City Hall in the Financial District, The Brooklyn Chop House is the premiere spot for when your munchies are calling for a next level dining experience. They nail. the luxury steakhouse cuisine while adding their creative take on traditional Asian dishes, like the french onion soup dumplings. A personal favorite is their dim sum inspired array of appetizers like the bacon cheeseburger dumplings (pictured below), Peking duck tacos, and rock shrimp tempura. Don’t just stop at the dim sum, their cuts of steak are insanely juicy, and the seafood is simply mouth watering.

The ambiance and energy never disappoint. You get the superior quality of one of the top tier steakhouses in the city, but avoid the stuck-up vibe. I always duck out for a quick smoke break in between courses, but if you want an alcoholic drink I recommend the “Sour Diesel”. Because as you all know you can’t ever go wrong with Sour Diesel. Big shoutouts to Peter and Don Pooh for always making the Munkey crew feel at home! As our CEO Vladimir loves to say, “Do the right thing like Spike Lee'' and head to the Brooklyn Chop House next time you get some serious munchies!
