Take-up rates generally fall as age increases for children with no schooling. At 86.6 per cent, take-up rates for children in primary school are higher than for any other cohort. Children with no schooling and children in high school have very similar exclusion rates. Children with no schooling are overwhelmingly young, while children in high school tend to be 16 years or more.
