We are pleased to honor two individuals for their leadership and extraordinary dedication to the Handel and Haydn Society. H+H is truly grateful to them both for their generosity and devotion to H+H over many years.
JULIA COX Julia Cox, CFA, is an investment consultant and a Vice Chair of the Handel and Haydn Society Board of Governors. Julie’s previous positions included Manager of Institutional and Personal Assets and Co-manager of the Capital Growth Fund at Scudder, Stevens & Clark; Portfolio Manager for Old Colony Trust Company at First National Bank of Boston; and Security Analyst for Fidelity Management and Research. Julie’s extensive volunteer service includes leadership roles on the boards of Goddard House Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living, as well as membership on the boards of Dana Farber Visiting Committee for the Women’s Cancers Program, Historic New England, Adirondack Mountain Reserve, Boston Society of Security Analysts, Gore Place, Historic Deerfield, and Retina Research. In her more than 20 years of supporting H+H, Julie has provided guidance to numerous CEOs, formed close friendships with artistic leadership, and given of her knowledge and time in innumerable ways. Her service as chair of the Investment Committee has provided H+H with financial stability, and her careful stewardship of H+H’s endowment has led to sustained growth, providing H+H with a firm bedrock for the future. In addition, Julie’s positions on the Executive, Nominating, and Capital Campaign Committees has ensured that H+H is steering the right course into our next 200 years.
