The clouds parted and the sun shone brightly on Venable Lawn as Dr. John Lawrence Stimpert was formally inaugurated as the 25th president of Hampden-Sydney College on April 28, 2017. The ceremony, steeped in the broad traditions of academia and the unique history of HampdenSydney, harkened back to the College’s rich past while looking forward to a bright future.
