Grant UK has been focusing on biodiversity at its new Headquarters in Swindon, Wiltshire, where the company has planted an abundance of bulbs and wildflowers as well as installing wildlife-friendly features throughout the site.

The company has also creasted compost bins from recycled pallets and these will enable it to collect and compost the fallen leaves and cut grass from the site, compost which will then be used in the new growing season when fresh plants and bulbs are ready to be sewn.

Anna Wakefield, Head of Marketing at Grant UK said: “By focusing on biodiversity, we have not only made some beautiful outdoor areas for our employees to enjoy but we have started an exciting programme which will make the site a wildlife-friendly

Following feedback from heating engineers Baxi has completed its range of high-performance models with the launch of its latest 600 and 800 Combi and System 2 boilers. Improvements to the new Combi & System 2 boilers include a pre-heated siphonic condensate trap, which prevents freezing and boiler lockouts in adverse winter conditions, a combined PrV and separate primary boiler drain for quick, simple draining and maintenance access, and colour coded wiring blocks for easier wiring. Both ranges are now also manually convertible between Natural Gas or LPG without the need for a conversion kit to be fitted, adding flexibility for off gas applications.

The new 30kW output in the 800 System 2 boiler means the complete range offers outputs in the region of 24kW to 36kW for Combi boilers and 15kW to 30kW for System. This provides installers with greater flexibility to meet the requirements of a variety of domestic property applications – large and small.

The 600 and 800 models have been designed to be compact and lightweight to make fitting in cupboards and small spaces easier. With a top central flue and pipe-behind facility, as well as stronger and corrosion resistant brass hydraulics, the company says they have been designed from the ground up with installers in mind.

All boilers come with a stainless steel heat exchanger and are certified to run on an 80/20 blend of natural gas and hydrogen. For more on the Baxi 600 and 800 Combi & System 2 ranges, please www.rdr.link/pau003
