10. Multimedia Computing: Animation 1: Candidates will learn how to produce multimedia-rich animation suitable for use in web pages and disk-based multimedia applications.

11. Multimedia Computing: Animation 2: Candidates will learn about the fundamentals of 3-D animation, use modeling techniques to simulate solid objects, apply animation to a 3-D model, create 3-D animation presentation and integrate it with an interactive application, test and publish a 3-D application to an appropriate delivery medium.

12. Multimedia Computing: Audio and Video 1: Candidates will be introduced to the principles and rules of video production and learn how to apply your storytelling skills to this medium. Candidates will also learn how to record, mix and edit basic dialogue, music and sound effects for various computing and media platforms.

13. Software Development: Introduction: Candidates will learn about the fundamental techniques used in the development of computer programs, the process of software development, use basic structure and features of a programming language and producing a computer

14. Internet: Client Side Web Scripting: Candidates will learn about the practical understanding of client-side web scripting and become an expert in designing and implementing scripts within web documents or enhance the functionality of a web document.

01) Digital Graphics (DG)

AEC School Of Interactive Media Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of computer graphics, color schemes, tools for image creation and image editing.

Adobe Photoshop is the tool used for this module. Photoshop is a very powerful tool to create, manipulate and enhance digital images and widely used and proclaimed in the fields of photography, graphic design and web page design.

02) Visualization (VIZ)

Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of Visualization and its techniques. It’s a continuation of the Digital graphics module. Since Nov 2008, we have adopted Fireworks as a tool for this module and before this Adobe Photoshop was the tool used for this module.

03) Page Layout (PL)

Students will be introduced to concepts of Desktop Publishing, basic principles of page design, effect of color and web page layout types. Students will also be introduced to the different software available for page layout.

Adobe InDesign is the tool used for this module. Adobe InDesign is desktop publishing and layout software. With InDesign we can design and layout a single-page advertisement or a complex multi-page color publication. InDesign integrates seamlessly with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

04) Web Page Design (WPD)

Students will be introduced to the basics of Internet, types of networks, DNS, World Wide Web, Basic types of websites and the various terminologies. Students will also be introduced to Usable Web Page design, Visual hierarchy, HTML layout techniques, Style sheets, Frames, etc. Students will be elaborately introduced to Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) with its various tags and trained to create simple web pages.

Adobe DreamWeaver is the tool used for this module. DreamWeaver is a professional HTML editor for designing, coding, and developing websites, web pages, and web applications. For both hand-coding HTML or to work in a visual editing environment, Dreamweaver provides with helpful tools to enhance web creation experience.

05) 2D Animation (2D)

Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of computer animation and different software used to create animation in 2D. Students will be extensively introduced to 2D animation software.

Adobe Flash is the tool used for this module. Flash is the most advanced authoring environment for creating rich, interactive content for digital, web, and mobile platforms and to create interactive websites, rich media advertisements, instructional media, engaging presentations, games, and more.

06) 3D Animation (3D)

Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of 3D computer animation and different software used to create animation in 3D. Students will be extensively introduced to 3D modeling and 3D Animation software. Blender (www.blender.org) is the tool used for this module. Many world famous movies and games are created with this software and it's the leader of 3D modeling and animation software in the market.

07) Application of Multimedia Technology (AMT)

Students will be introduced to the variety of tools used to create multimedia contents and simple modeling concepts will be introduced.

AEC School Of Interactive Media Adobe Illustrator is the tool used for this module. Adobe Illustrator is a vector-based drawing program which provides superior results in the typesetting and logographic areas of design.

08) Multimedia Programming (MP)

Students will be introduced to the programming concepts for creating multimedia features. ActionScript in Flash, Advanced HTML, Basics of JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) will be introduced. Adobe DreamWeaver and Adobe Flash are the tools used for this module.

09) Multimedia Authoring (MA)

Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of authoring multimedia contents like Presentations, e-learning materials, Learning Management Systems (LMS) etc. Students will also be introduced to the concepts of authoring, types of authoring tools and different multimedia project models.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, Adobe Presenter, Adobe Authorware are the tools used for this module. Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 is a very prominent MS-Office program used for creating very effective and dynamic presentations. Adobe Presenter (formerly Macromedia Breeze Presenter) is a tool that enables anyone to create professional, high-quality on-demand presentations from within Microsoft PowerPoint. Adobe Presenter enhances PowerPoint by allowing publishing into a PDF format, creating Quizzes, using audio and themes. Authorware is the leading visual authoring tool for creating rich-media e-learning applications for delivery on corporate networks, CD/DVD, and the Web. Develop accessible applications that comply with learning management system (LMS) standards.

10) Multimedia Screen Design (MSD)

Students will be introduced to the principles of screen design for websites, aesthetic elements in design of websites and navigation techniques.

11) Digital Video & Sound Editing (DVSE)

Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of creating and editing Digital video and sound.

Adobe PremierePro is the tool used for this module. Adobe Premiere Pro, is a real-time, timeline based video editing software application and supports many video editing cards and plug-ins for accelerated processing, additional file format support, and video/audio effects.

12) Instructional Design (ID)

Students will be introduced to the basics and principles of Instructional Design, Types of Learners, Teaching strategies, Instructional media, General ID Steps and concepts of storyboarding. Students will also be introduced to creating simulations, Scenario based training and quizzes.

Adobe Captivate is the tool used for this module. Adobe Captivate is an electronic learning tool which can be used to author software demonstrations, software simulations, branched scenarios, and randomized quizzes in .swf format. It can also be used for screen casts, pod casts, and the conversion of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to the Adobe Flash format.
